Official. Lallana has gone.

Good. Once he had decided he wanted to leave it was always best for the club to shift him out ASAP for the best price. Now the remaining players can focus on pre season and Reed can concentrate on strengthening. Definitely didn't want this dragging on any longer. COYR

Good!he's already yesterday's old news
Bring forth the days of big Ron!
And let's shut up all are haters!
(THIS IS SOUTHAMPTON AND WE ARE THE SAINTS!!!!!)

3.) 01 Jul 2014
He has turned into a big head fwit since called for England.

I am glad to see him go, no honour with any mention of Saints just how great Liverpool are. Stated at the end of season dinner that he wanted to stay at this special club so you can't trust a word he says.

4.) 01 Jul 2014
I'm glad he's finally gone. We don't need players who aren't 100% behind the club. It's sad that three of the English lads we became so proud of have deserted us (though I don't begrudge Rickie his dream move). They'll inevitably be replaced with foreign alternatives to get us through this transition, but we have a wealth of homegrown talent coming through the ranks and in a season or two we'll be stronger than ever and the main provider to the national team.

5.) 01 Jul 2014
I wasn't one of the Lallana haters but just seen an interview and not once did he thank the club for helping him to progress to where he has got.
Agreed he does sound a little self important now so let's see how he settles in once a bit of Sterling's influence had rubbed off.
Its a shame to end on a sour note with him. He's been great for us and I still hope he doesn't fail. Just wouldn't mind him failing in the first match.

6.) 01 Jul 2014
Your right clattenburg, he has changed. I thought he was going to be a club legend.

7.) 01 Jul 2014
What this really shows is not Lallana's lack of loyalty but the naivety of football fans.
Pledging allegiance, kissing football shirts, signing new contracts blah blah. All meaningless.
What matters is how the club manages the future.

8.) 01 Jul 2014
As much as I hate Lallanna he has thanked everyone at southampton. Watch the video.

Still hate the way he has got his move though. He obviously does not care for the saints like he led us to believe!

Speaking to one of the Ex-Saints players at the weekend, I was told that AL had been stirring things up at the club since the end of season and seemed to have a thing against Saints for not trying to keep MP.

10.) 01 Jul 2014
I really wish some of our fans will start too GROW UP. Yes to you Southampton and football is an unrivaled passion and you want to see all of our players share that. But remember to them it is a JOB!! They are not necessarily supporters of the club, they may love to work for the club but that is what they are doing WORKING!

If you were offered over twice the salary to do the same job at a different company, would you really stay where you are? I mean honestly, let's not forget they all have career development on their minds exactly the same as we all do. Put aside your own passion for 1 minute and look at it from this point and I think we would all make the same decision in our careers.

I am not saying the way he went about his transfer is right, but I would act the same way if someone from my work was blocking a life changing career move!

11.) 01 Jul 2014
BedfordshireSaint, I like your pragmatic approach. It has certainly reframed my thinking. We are fans passionate and true and well, yes it is a job to most, but not all players.
However, I will not be applauding AL when he steps out at St Mary's wearing a LFC shirt.

12.) 01 Jul 2014
BedforshireSaint I don't think anyone begrudges him a move if he wants it.

Its the way he has gone about it and his quotes after that have got peoples back up.

13.) 01 Jul 2014
I have said this before and will say it again, we should turn our backs to him when he does the usual meaningless clap to our fans (if he does) because you know it won't be heart felt. What amazes me is the lack of loyalty after he has been looked after by us since he was 12, it's not like he was bought a couple of years ago, this club invested a lot into him, financially and emotionally, he was idolised by the fans, they believed his nonsense. I agree with Clattenburg too, he has got a bit too big for his boots since he started playing for England. I am sure that the likes of Gerrard turned his head and Rogers probably got him to do it too

just seen lallana report on meridian
what great england players in liverpool team
is that why we came home early from the world cup
not a good player amongst them or Manchester United while on the subject of great plyers
11 flops more like it and you ll be in the same boat as them because you won't improve anymore
