Heard that crouch is available for around 3m.
We could do a lot worse for that sort of money as a 3rd/4th choice striker or even a last 15 minutes game changer.
Not saying he would be a starter, just saying for that sort of cash, even at his age I think this would give more added depth up front.
Some will say it doesn't show ambition because he's not in his low twenties and costing 15m
I would say he is a proven PL goalscorer and has the ability to change games in the final 15 mins if needed.

I would rather take Defoe on loan for 6 months.

I think his £90k a week wages may be a stumbling point!

Yes very true super sub for sure look at Chelsea with drogba. I believe you need experience and depth at any club. Crouch would be good purchase

So saints fans want to sign former players? interesting.
: (

Former pompey players

8.) 07 Aug 2014
Is there anything wrong with that? There are definitely 3 other former saints players that every sensible Saints fan would love to have back.
Bale, Ox and Walcott!
The fact Crouch is a former player should have nothing to do with it. Every signing should be for footballing reasons and those alone.

Immature response! Moan about not having enough depth yet would fit the bill perfect (and to mentor the younger). Unfortunately, wasn't a rumor merely an observation!

No thanks, we have back up strikers already, we need a 25 goal a season striker, not an impact bench striker. We need to replace the players we sold, lambo was a starter, we have gallagher as a bench striker and moving forward a starter.
