Ryan Bertrand has told the club that he will only stay there if they renew jack corks contract. jack cork and Ryan Bertrand have known each other a long time and are best friends outside the club.

There is an outside chance that Mane will not have to go to AFCON finals in January due to this horrifying Ebola crisis. There is a meeting in Morocco on the 11th to discuss the options. If I was him I wouldn't go and I think the African Football Association should be very cautious because even the smallest risk is a risk too far.

On a more optimistic note having watched the shambles that was Man City last night, if they played anything like they did last night we could stuff them out of sight. I think if the players watched the game as I'm sure they did they would have seen no reason to fear them in any way whatsoever, I think Pellegrini's days are numbered and that there is a slight panic setting in with him and the whole team. Hope I'm right.

Just been reading about the " Bring Rickie Home " comments on Twitter concerning his shabby treatment since transferring to Liverpool. To be honest I think the only person that thought he would get a regular place in the Liverpool team was Rickie. He was a great player for us and in my opinion used his heart instead of his head when he got the opportunity to go there.

Unfortunately he would not be asked to come back here now, to be perfectly frank he would not get in our side now, seems such a shame though as I still think he has a lot to offer. When Staplewood was officially opened and the video made about the players who have come through the academy he was on there saying that he " owed " everything to Southampton. He reacted too quickly to pursue his boyhood dream when he should have been flattered with the offer but stayed where he was best off. When Pelle gets suspended, which he probably will be before the end of December due to his yellow card tally he would have been there to deputise and also take the pressure off Pelle in cup games, injuries and late substitutions. Such a shame because Rickie was a shining light at Saints over the last 5 years but his career will now peter out and his terrific contribution to the position we are now in just a faint memory. He should be still part of it. A bit silly of him in retrospect and I wonder ( if he was honest to himself ) think that it was a hasty decision and he has consequently found out the hard way that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

So there was a chance that Morocco might postpone the Africa Cup of Nations due to a disease 2,000 miles away? That Spanish nurse was closer to them than Liberia (the closest infected country); I can't believe they were even considering this.

Just putting down what has been reported. I agree with you but I still think they have to be cautious because if the most unlikely happened what would the world opinion be.
