Bit of a rumour doing the rounds for you guys as well, I heard we are interested in a few players not sure if they are in fact true rumours but thought I'd let you know anyway.

Don't think he's a starter though is he? I'm just saying his time at city was awful, worst than. although Kevin de bruyne worked out alright so perhaps I'm being unfair.

Savić has only really played against the small teams in La Liga and he's played very, very minimal minutes against big clubs, the only 2/ 3 of which he's played have been Barcelona, Bayern and Athletic Bilbao in which he's only played 184 minutes in 5 games. Most of the reason behind Atlético's amazing defensive record are their starting back 5 of Oblak, Juanfran, Giménez, Godín and Filipe Luís.

Off that list of players though, I'd probably only take Tolisso, Izquierdo, Rüdiger, Bahlouli and Samaris as realistic options (Rüdiger might even be a step too far with the season he's had on loan at Roma) .

I was really impressed with Savic after leaving City. Its no doubt he found it difficult at 20/ 21 in the premier league, and was more than a little bit shaky, Since then he has matured a lot, went on to improve massive amounts at Fiorentina and is a starter for Montenegro. I think Savic is in the same situation as Alderwireld was that he has to compete for a starting spot against Godin and Jaunfran and two exceptionally decent youngsters in Jesus and Gimenez. Wouldn't be surprise if he moved on and hence the rumours.
