Something is crazy here, Manuel Pellegrini has shot to favourite from nowhere with the bookies . Don't get this, he will be 63 in a couple of weeks and we have a 5 year plan. Very odd. Any ideas?

Unfortunately I am starting to get disheartened with this 5 year plan talk. It feels as if it restarts with the talk of each new manager. I know money talks, but if it was a decent plan surely heads would not turn so easily. At least at 63 Pellagrini might see it through to see out his career.

We will have a 5 year plan in place. Plus a longer term plan and shorter term goals. It's standard business practice. Goals and targets get revised. Pellegrini would be a great manager in my view. He plays good attacking football and wins trophies.

I agree with you to an extent but have you seen the squad of players he has had to choose from at his previous clubs . Which ever way you look at it managing us will be far different to City and Real Madrid . I think Puel could be the style of manager we want as he has done well with tight budgets.

The only 5 year plan I knew of was 5 years ago cortese talking about champions league qualification. Other than that it seems to be rehashed every player, staff change. However no one actually gives any clarity on what the "5 year plan" actually is. I know its football and things change all the time but I can't help think the 5 year plan is being carried out successfully as we speak. Grow the brand and increase revenue. we march on . to the bank.
