Certainly don't understand that one, he has no pedigree whatsoever, can't be true can it . Has Les lost the plot?

The Southampton Board are astute. Klinsman is intelligent, was a great footballer and has "Attitude" why do you say has Les Reed lost the plot.?
He is energetic, well connected and will do very well if chosen.
Saints will do well this year.

But has no experience managing in Europe apart from 43 games for bayern munich
We need a manager with experience in this area otherwise all last years hard work will go to waste.

Now that IS getting my juices flowing. Hope it happens, almost as much as I hope the Pellegrini option doesn't.

This would be monumental result. £5M for Koeman who was going in a year anyway, and a former world and euro cup winner who will get immediate respect from the squad and attract quality players.

Klinsmann would be quality, can't see why so many are against it

Well known for building around youth. Loves attacking football. Not afraid to make a big decision.

Done well at Germany after rebuilding that squad. Was unlucky to be sacked at Bayern after 25 wins 9 draws and 10 defeats in all comps and you can't say it doesn't decent manager to get the USMNT to the quarter final of a world cup.

Can someone tell my klinsman is a good choice give me three reasons please. He is likely to be sacked as USA manager for their regression as far as I can see. No experience of managing in a major league apart from a season in germany and my mum could manage Bayern.

Not necessarily three reasons why he will be a success, but certainly three reasons why Saints would be interested in Klinsmann's appointment.

Firstly he has achieved some of the highest honours as a footballer so will undoubtedly command respect from the squad. Same as Koeman in this respect.

Secondly his style of football is attacking, fast-paced and is often ambiguous. Players responsibilities change, tactics change very frequently. I would imagine this aspect would be the sticking point the board may have, he does not tend to stick to a winning system for too long, but tries to adapt it for versatility.

Thirdly his record as a coach is very consistent, remarkably it seems the USMNT feel Klinsmann has taken them as far as he can, but he's never failed to make a mark at a team he has managed. In comparison Koeman had failures at both Benfica and Valencia before eventually coming to manage at Saints.

An American commentator on the radio early this morning said a lot would be pens on a meeting klinnsman is due to have with head of American "soccer" but he thinks that he likes it in America and will stay there.

Wouldn't mind him coming but think we need to get a move on now it's getting frustrating we may as well replace les reed now as well.

I think he'd be a very interesting addition, not sure why everyone's so against it!
