According to an Icelandic journo, we have made a bid of £34m for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

I can't see us paying that much for a player.

A lot of money. Although would be a huge asset to the club.
This makes more sense, a signing that will bring the club forward. He's one of the most talented attacking midfielders in the league. Him with Tadic and Boufal could create a amazing creative unit in midfield. We'd just need a striker that can finish their dinner

The same journo has said that the Swans turned it down. Granted, it's a lot of money for us. He is 27 and proven and we have apparently taken out a cash loan from an Aussie bank against future TV money. Maybe we want a warchest like Everton have?!

It could be dollars he isn't worth it. Maybe including wages on a 4 year deal you could buy world class for that money. If we have offered that assume a striker and centre half are en route or are we going to play 4-6-0.

Yeah since our brexit vote the pound dollar and euro are pretty much the same. Fuels gone up though. Everything we import has. Puel is pretty much the same. No inflation there.
