VVD according to the media could be out for three months.
If this is true then we must surely now be getting someone in. (Before this news I was pretty sure we wouldn't in this window)
If we don't we have 3 fit center backs (one hasn't played this season) one fit right back (ignoring our CBs playing RB) and two fit left backs.

Not that informed Stmarks - thought Fonte was going to Everton! Re Virgil - I think it is a broken bone in his foot rather than ankle.

The idea of getting Jagielka in for the rest of the season doesn't seem like a bad thing now. Just hope we get someone in to bolster the squad.

We need cover for VVD (and Fonte replacement) plus another front man. This is now a basic MINIMUM.

did no one watch stephens play last night at anfield? one word - QUALITY.
who needs a replacement when the way he played didn't make us miss van dijk, now gives him 3 months of good playing time, and ready to take a regular premiership player next season

but we need more than 2 fit cd's in case of further injuries or suspensions
and I'm not sure where gardos is in relation to match fitness
