first time poster, probably answered to death but can't find it. Was just wondering if the eds thought van dijk is leaving and if it was to liverpool (anyone but them! )

You really should read the posts but even though Southampton want to keep him, what Liverpool and Klopp has done is to make his position untenable so it is likely in my mind that he will leave. Liverpool withdrew all interest in the player as part of their humiliating apology to Southampton - it would be a major loss of face for the owners and the board if they were to go back on that. Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea are all looking for a centre back and all could be options having previously shown an interest. It is worth noting that Manchester City may be constraiuned financially and depending on other transfers may not be able to afford van Dijk.}

I think we might keep him. Morgan and wanyama were both in similar situations and we held firm and made them wait a year if I remember right? We've shown we're willing to put our foot down in the past.

Of course he'll just be off next year still.

save face my foot! they would definitely bid for him and that is a fact. Those guys have no scrupples at all. They ochestrated the whole thing anyway. So they trying to save face does not really prove anything. that is who they are.
