{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

I like Gibson, but not for £30m.

You're right sam.30 mill is a lot considering he's in the championship. if we could get him at closer to 20, Wimmer at maybe 15 (or hoedt from lazio for 12) and sell van dijk then we've done well. add lemina who is supposedly having a medical today, then we've had a good window. (if van dijk is sold then that covers almost all the costs for those new additions) maybe a pacy winger, but I wouldn't know who is available that would improve the team.

Hoedt and Wimmer for me, Gibson isn't worth the money at all! At best he's worth 15-20 maybe. There are plenty of good cb's around maybe not all are available but plenty around! And I'd rather we spent less than more.

Think about it we have money to spend I firmly believe we will get s good player in but not for 30 million!

I agree Hoedt and Wimmer. Stephens is good enough for first team - 30m is a complete waste.

30m seems very steep, but then 20 seems a lot for wimmer too. Anyone's going to cost a lot but I think Gibson would be my favourite of the three. That said I don't know a lot about hoedt.

I doubt we'll sign two CB's as we've already signed Bednarek - even if we maybe should. I'd say Hoedt would be my favourite option of the 3, although it is always good to sign English players. It seems like we maybe looking at left footed CB's? With Hoedt and Gibson both been left footed, could bring a nice balance to our team.

And I completely agree that stephens is good enough to start, would like to see him progress! He seems so comfortable on the ball, surprised he's gone under the radar a bit.

Hi Guys

A bit of a rant, personally sell VVD to anyone but Liverpool, if its chelsea only sell if they can get Andreas Christensen and if they can't get him put a £15/ 20 mill for Mamadou Sakho Klopp don't like him but he is one of the best center halfs left out there

Disillusioned.

Sell VVD to anyone but Liverpool then try to sign a player from the very same club for way under his valuation, seems realistic.

We may well of shown interest BUT there is no way in hell we are going to absolutely smash our transfer record on Ben Gibson. This transfer will not happen.

Sakho is a very good player most Liverpool fans wish him and JK would just get on by hat seems impossible, I do regret how my clubs acted but in all honesty I think VVD is a Liverpool player by the end of the week and same as Coutinho going Barca. As fans we think we or the club have power, we don't. I hope my club pays what VVD is worth and I hope for the good of saints and the player you get sakho I think he's good but looks unorthodox on the balls is all, so helps you replace the lost because layer and provides a lot of money. Hope the sale goes well, hope you's do wel. No animosity between fans due to the way the owner acts and I hope the usually good relations between us and you guys continues goodluck for his season. Ps please forgive poor typing predictive text ruins my messages usually.

Don't understand why we would even bother looking into Gibson at 30m you could almost get Hoedt and Yannick Vestergaard for that combined.

How can any of us that say Hoedt is there favourite really know that, I hope you are not using videos on Utube as a reference. Even I could look good on there. I am sure he is a good player but we don't really know about him to go to statements like he is class etc. etc.

I only say that as he seems the best value for money out of the 3, I don't think Wimmer or Gibson would be worth the £20m or £30m their clubs want respectively.

15.) 09 Aug 2017
09 Aug 2017 15:39:57
I agree with that Sam but if we sell VVD for 60-70 million it might be worth buying an experienced CB who may be aging but will get us through this season whilst we are sourcing another gem. Maybe Jose Fonte might come back? He doesn't look happy at West Ham.

how about you take Sakho and £30m for VVD and both clubs can move on everybody knows Klopp was out of order but this is not just down to him. We are going through the same thing with Coutinho but most of the time it is not the players it is the agent's we went through the same thing with sterling its the agents that make there money when these plays move for big money. plus you do owes us one you got over £20m out of us for lovren.

{Ed002's Note - It is not the same thing with Coutinho at all.}

why is it not like Coutinho talks going on with out permission of club wages agreed so reports say. do you not think there was some sort of contact with klopp from VVD agent before the meeting took place or did he just ring him out of the blue as I said its the agents that make most out of players moving.

{Ed002's Note - I don't like having to repeatedly spell out quite how truly awful Liverpool are - absolutely in the gutter and bottom of the pile in terms of professionalism in European football. I have explained over and over again on the Liverpool page for more than a year that it was Coutinho who was courting Barcelona. The club are aware of what Coutinho told three international team mates last season an. At the end of October his representative visited Barcelona to make clear that the player is open to a move there during 2017 and this re-enforces the comment from an international colleague that Coutinho has got Neymar to speak to Barcelona about him as well.

It is embarrassing to see the Liverpool fans constantly try and blame others and say other clubs are as bad as Liverpool - it is untrue. Klopp is to blame. Klopp has caused van Dijk to become damaged goods - it is entirely unprofessional and the owners and the board have had to issue a humilaiating apology to Southampton. Now I am seeing Liverpool supporters trolling the Southampton page.}

Well said Ed, ( again) these so called Liverpool supporters seem disillusioned with the belief that they are the only club worth joining or supporting in the PL and the rules don't apply to them. I can only assume that clown Klopp has a lot to do with this belief. He is almost like some cult spiritual leader who seems to convince all his followers that he knows best no matter what and will lead them to the promised land. How silly it looks to the non believers living in the real world. I can't believe though that not one of the pundits and media are putting the problem at Liverpool's door with Klopp being the only one allowed to answer it. They actually believe we are being unfair to VVD. Crazy.
