Foster has lost his place in The England squad. Do we have a goalkeeping coach? Work on his mobility. He has to be more than just a stopper.

I'd imagine Forster isn't easily coached. he seems like he's about as dumb as a plank if you've ever seen an interview of him.

He's just so awkward . he's not natural even the shots he does save is like a shovel or the ball just hitting him. With a big guy you'd expect mobility to not be as good, find it more difficult to get down but would expect him to be an beast claiming everything in the air and dominating his box scaring the life out if anyone who goes near him. he does nothing. A gentle giant who's been found out . dropped and rightly so.

Wow this is getting a bit harsh, don't have to assassinate our own players do we? Can't we just say he's on a bad run of form and it would be a good idea to sign a decent keeper and let the two of them compete for the jersey. Surely we can find a solid keeper for 8 millon, this is getting silly. If forster re-finds his form, then we still have a decent back up option.

Had this conversation with an ed previously he stated Forster hasn't trained on since he left Newcastle. How can you be that big and not terrify attackers Utd 3rd in cup final prime example scream and come off your line nobody wouldn't flinch. He has to decide knuckle down train and change or loose first team place. If he comes for crosses and misses it's better than standing still.

NO goalie should be beaten in the air from a cross if they time it right they are all 6' to 6'6 and have a 2 foot reach Ronaldo doesn't leap 8' 6 keep getting improved contracts doesn't help.
I don't like to slate any player but he needs to hear some comments watch videos and improve
Chuffed for yosh great servant always tries sometimes unlucky and versatile squad player.

A 16 month run of bad form is not bad form. its just poor. I don't think we as fans should get on his back. but he hasn't been good enough for a long time and I hope saints are looking at other options.

Sorry Ben, I'll try to phrase everything in meek platitudes from now on.

This is a forum where people post opinions, and therefore criticism is surely allowed. Otherwise what the hell is the point. Granted I probably got a bit personal but I was kidding and I sincerely doubt he's reading.

Come on he has been nowhere near as bad as people have made out. He didn't have the best of seasons last year, but nor did a lot of our players, have some faith.

Side note. don't agree that you can pin Ibra's winner in the final on Forster whatsoever. CB's should never allow a striker a free header from that distance and in so much space. Even more so when that striker happens to be probably the best header of the ball of his generation (except Lambert, of course) .

Didn't pin it on him was just an example of what he needs to improve he just stands there most of the time and the ball hits him. He needs to use his size to make the forward think about him then by default not time the finish.

When Forester first arrived, he looked quality at commanding the box from corners. He'd come out from corners and get the ball everytime. Maybe he has lost confidence because of all the defensive departments. But most goals we concede he just seems rooted.

To be fair on him, he suffered a really bad injury, and he hasn't been the same really since coming back. As other have said for a keeper his size you would expect him to at the very least command his box and claim crosses etc. He looks a beast but doesn't act like one. If he did that you could let his poor level of ahot stopping slide. but his shot stopping is poor (the ones he does keep out he seems to push straight in to danger) his presence in the box is poor, he's slow, and his kicking at times last year was shockingly bad. You look at pickford who is tiny in comparison, but offers so much more as a keeper. I wish we'd bought butland instead of forster.

His best spell for the club was when he got back from injury under Koeman which saw us reach 6th in the league!

St Sam totally agree. He came back in and kept a run of clean sheets. I think he isn't confident in the defence in front of him.

Since the start of the 2014-15 season, Fraser Forster has kept 35 clean sheets in the Premier League - more than any other English goalkeeper.

He wasn't too shabby yesterday against Huddersfield.
