So ED'S any ins or outs you think will happen surely VVD to Liverpool has to start as with a new window the tapping up is a thing of the past and they can make an offer without fear of a complaint.

{Ed002's Note - Why would the "tapping up" be a thing of the past? The complaint still sits on file. They formally withdrew all interest at the same time they apologised - would they be withdrawing their apology? If so then an offer is possible butLiverpool have been looking elsewhere at centre backs. Southampton want to add a striker - Paco Alcacer has been trying to force a move out of Barcelona and they will accommodate that once they have a replacement - the summer would be more likely and although Southampton are interested, he will have potentially more attractive options elsewhere. A loan for Stevan Jovetic has been suggested but if he moves I think Newcastle will provide a home, thereby freeing up Aleksandar Mitrovic who would be a good option.}

thanks Eds I assumed clearly wrongly that they could argue a change of position now its a different window and make some reason without fear of reprisal. As no formal offer was put forward I thought it would be difficult to prove rumour and speculation. Would love Mitrovic who has masses of potential would be cheap but is clearly a bit hot headed. Be nice to see a saints forward roughing up the defence for a change, he could develop into anything so potential which suits the model.

{Ed002's Note - It wasn't rumour and speculation, Liverpool again acted illegally and what Klopp did was entirely unacceptable. If they wish to finally make an offer for the player the owners who yet again trailed slime to the door of another side to give a grovelling apology in order to avoid charges will be an absoolute laughing stock. The complaint remains on file.}

Finally, after all the speculation I was wondering where are we are all at?
As supporter's in this day and age should we remain loyal to players? Like the old days. Through think and thin or should we adapt to the mindset of players like v. v. d who clearly felt our club had or has no real desire to truly win anything over the need to make a profit first and full most!

What am I talking about? Well in my view I am bother that Shane long works like a dog in every match but hasn't been effective in doing his job ( scoring goals or helping others to score. ) yet the club sold Saido Maine who scored goals for fun without continuely work as hard in every match! as long does. Le tiss never worked hard but was supremely effective in scoring goals!

Selling saido has taking us backwards and down the league
yet our club had the so called blackbox that identify's the quality of each player. cross refrancing their quality's and desided to sell the best player of the pair for a hugh profit.

Isn't fair then that V. V. D saw this too and asking himself what are his dreams and desires. And isn't it our job to point this out to the club and ask why?

It makes no sense why let Koeman go year before his contract was up! just to cash in. While forcing another person to remain at the club he no longer wishes to be at?

It seems to me we should be asking these types of questions at the board and I am wondering our we going repeat this all over again now the club has new owners who as business minded people may wish to seek a return on their investment over the next few seasons. This the loop continues.

4thelove, how can you have so little understanding of what has happened with our club in recent years with regard to koeman etc?

Sorry but I am at a loss to your meaning in your reply. If you could explain why you believe I have little understanding as to what has been going on at the club we love and support.

All I am saying our club bangs on about it's blackbox using it as they do to identify the players they wish to bring into the club to help improve our team and to monitor the players we already have.

As far as I can recall Saido never asked to move on and Shane long has never scored more then 15 goals in a season so why sale saido and not long first? Saido is clearly the younger and better player.!

As for Koeman the club needs to be consistent in their approch and actions.

Koeman said himself he expected Southampton to say we are not releasing you from your contract.

Fair play to our clubs board they did say they longer wished to sale our best players at the end of last season and they stuck to their word hugh progress in that regard. But a lot of damage was done. If they continue sticking to these new approch and slipping back to old ways.

Players need faith in their teammates, manger and club alike I like to think loyalty counts for something but the last time it happen at our was when we wentdown to league one and we asked Kevin Davis to stick with us!

The new owner's will no doubt look to get their 200 million at some point but we need to pressure the board don't to do it the same way by undermining clubs currant outlook saling our better players. A ruthless approch is needed sale players quickly that don't match expectations centre forward should be scoring at lease 15 goals a season subject to injury. Shane long isn't that good of a player full stop. We should sale him in the summer and try and buy Tim winner.

{Ed001's Note - Sadio did ask to move on, just like he did when he joined you in the first place, after going on strike at RBS to force a move through.}
