surprised no one's blaming Forster for Everton's goal.

"He's 6 foot 7 he should be reaching the top corner from the opposite side of the goal. What use is having a big 'keeper if he can't do that? "

Yes sainty saint, I have been saying for ages the only reason people are moaning about forster is because we are not scoring goals and the poor guy gets the blame. don't get me wrong he should shoulder some blame but its like I said to a friend after the burnley game, if we scored 3 goals would any one have moand about the 1 goal burnley scored?

Its probably the fact he's rumoured saints top earner and you expect something from a premier league gker. What he loses in mobility he should make up for in commanding his box and scaring the s@*t out of anyone going near him or his goal. he obviously has allowed his form to dip, hence being dropped by the England squad. He looks half assed at best. nonchalant would be the nicest word I could use to describe him. although there is an air of arrogance. He does a job sure but would like a decent back up option to keep him on his toes and keep him working hard.

Wow it's always tough to remember nobody is perfect! But I think the the placement of their goal was perfect mind you! You may agree or not?

Forster does need to hard on his acceptability to let in the long shots but apart from that I think many of us have been overbearing in our criticism towards him.

No doubt that's partly due the results we've been getting of late. Why any of the other so called England goalkeepers are ahead of him simply amazes me!

Pickford was outstanding for England last week mind you. However his Everton form shouldn't put him ahead of our man nor can hearts form! For that matter.
Some of our supporters have forgotten what it was like being a Saints fan when we was relegation fodder for most of the 1990's maybe they wasn't born. so can't possibly remember.
I can it was fun beating the odds season after season.

However, we have move on from those days and we expect more! But maybe we should start to point out more often our players finer points. It's easy to pick holes in others when mistakes are made.

Whether the criticism has been over the top or not, if you think Forsters performances this season have been acceptable, you need a trip down the opticians.

It is well known that people had big doubts about FF when he was at Newcastle. Big parts of his game have not improved and I honestly believe that with a better goal keeper, we would have more points on the board.

Quoting his Newcastle career is totally out of context firstly he was young and still learning his craft secondly when was the last time Newcastle produce a world class players
from their academy.?
he needed to go to Scotland for that!

I'm not claiming he' s without fault he cleanly has frailties but I am looking to my follow Saint fans for a balanced approch to their views in fairness of criticism toward any of our players! We should always be mindful that we supporters of our club and it's players e. g. can you say he is worst than west ham's Heart or Everton's Pickford both are ahead of him international?
Personal I wouldn't.
I would like to see us avoid emotional criticism towards our players other wise we risk being looked appon as people like Donald Trump unhinged.!

It’s why they sold him!

4theloveofgame - it is you that has taken my post out of context. If you re read my comment it isn’t all factual. As saint0001 said, they sold him for a reason and since then, he has not improved as the faults remain. I think you will find my comment was both balanced, fair and factual. Like you said at Newcastle he could blame his age, not any more!
