James Maddison on his way within the next week. Around the £20m mark I believe.

Great signing if it actually happens. Always sceptical with transfer rumours for us. Hopefully a winger and CB are also on the agenda though as to me they seem much more of a priority. Also wonder what impact this will have on our academy players like Ward-Prowse and Hesketh if we do get Maddison? Are they just not good enough, or are we not willing to risk seeing if either of them can step up and cement themselves into the first team?

Called it a few weeks ago. Although it was just another name bandied around back then but I will be glad if it starts bearing fruit. Much needed competition for tadic and if we do stick with 3-4-1-2 then putting him behind the two forwards will be a mouthwatering prospect.

Yeh would like this to happen . also agree that a CB and winger is needed, I am really interested in watching Columbia play next week, so can look at Mateus Uribe, who we are apparently interested in, suppose to be a terrific player, as good in his defensive duties as going forward, quick, tenacious great passer and scores most of his goals from long range . (Real madrid were interestd) . The sort of wide player we don't have!

When I say tenacious, apparently this borders on aggressive at times, not a great discipline record, But, I personally Have no problem with that. it shows desire and a winning attitude.

Speaking of wingers, how about Lozano of Mexico. Great goal scoring record for PSV, 17 goals in 29 appearances. Linked to Everton so possibly one at could get? .

A player with high work rate is always welcomed in my book. I imagine Lozano was already in the 20+mil bracket and after this world cup it could rise even more. With us battling Leicester for Maddison who's already over 20mil as well, unfortunately can't see Les spend that much twice in one window unless he sees last season as a wake up call. I'd like to be proven wrong though. Lozano might be a bit too pricy like Promes, but both very good players.
