I slate him. But I think he's what we need and would be a great signing. I think we need at least one more in. Another dimension up top. We look woeful at the back, have conceded so many goals in pre-season. We're going to be relying on outscoring the opposition and for that you need more options than Austin, gabbi and long.

I reckon he'll be too expensive personally.

And I don't mean too expensive for us, just that his asking price will be above of his value. If they're looking for 20-30 mil as I expect they would be, then he's not worth that, and we shouldn't pay it out of desperation.

The big ones I'm surprised we haven't worked harder at (in fairness, maybe we have been) are Dembele and Origi. Both are optimistic but plausible in my opinion.

I don't think we would get Dembele but Origi possibly has a point to prove and I think he could fit our style of play. Still hoping that we might get Alcacer last minute.
