Sky Sports reporting a deal is done for Djenepo around £12-14m - seeing as £20m was being reported, that's an outstanding bit of business and I'm ecstatic about that purchase. Hopefully another Mane diamond in the rough find.

One down, three to go! COYS.

Looks a promising signing, let's hope he hits the ground running ;) now please go sign Che Adams! COYR!

Adams and Djenepo in, Austin, Gallagher, Boufal, and Elyounessi out.
Ings, Redmond, Adams, Long, Djenepo, Sims, Obafemi. Good enough options for me, lots of pace in that.

Get rid of Forster, one of Hoedt or Stephens, one of Targett or McQueen, Cedric, Clasie, one of Lemina or Reed, and bring in a CB and RB and I consider it a positive window. Bonus points if we can get that Polish goalkeeper in. Maybe Bednarek can give him a chat?

What about our record signing in Carrillo Vick?

No need to get rid of targett. He allows us to play Bertrand at cb if needs be and is very good cover as well as his long term replacement.
Think hoedt AND Stephens. Don't see the point in signing another keeper if McCarthy or forster.

According to the Birmingham Mail, we've had an £8m bid rejected for Adams.

I'm seriously off the fence on Carillo. He seems like a striker who plays good given the service ala Monaco but he played under MP2 and barely featured under Hughes. This season again he played for MP2 and even then his record isn't that good. He seems like a proper target man and maybe hasn't settled in England properly. I think Ralph doesn't mind a strong player in the air (Poulsen at RBL) but he really needs players committed to the high energy pressing and doing it at an above average tempo and speed of play. Which is why despite their abilities, I have doubts over Carillo, Boufal, and Elyounessi. It's crystal clear that they each have more ability than Shane Long. But the reason's Shane stands more of a chance of staying than them are almost just as obvious. Jury's out for me, but if I had to consider the good of the club, I'd say he has to go. We do have seven players (if Adams/ Lookman pull through) vying for three spots anyway without him.

MilkySaint agree with most of those. Though I think if we fail to secure a CB then one of Hoedt or Stephen stays for cover unless Ralph thinks Klarer or Jones is good enough to make the step up. I don't like the notion of selling Targett either but his departure isn't unlikely given Fulham's 'reported' strong interest and the fact that we'll have three left backs when Sam McQueen returns.

True Vick. let's hope we get a CB then as neither of them are good enough! Lol

I'd put targett way ahead of McQueen. Unfortunate that he got such a bad injury at Boro. maybe another loan or sell him on.

Eds, can you confirm Djanepo's move to Saints about to be done?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer questions about timing but there will be a need to obtain a Work Permit.}
