I really wish people would stop laying into KL and the Board. even now when it is clear we are going to have a squad on a par or better than last season. I just hope tbat KL amd the Board don't read the stuff on here (or take it with a serious pinch of salt) as otherwise they might just think what an ungrateful bunch of fans maybe we'll see how they manage without us. SFC would not exist without KL and her family - never forget that. Cortese got too big for his boots and tried to do too much too fast, he seemed to think he owned the club. When he got put in his place he threw his toys out the pram and left (sound familiar - setting a precedent?). Stable, constant growth has to be the aim of a club like SFC until we can challenge the big boys for a Europe place (or perhaps pinch one thru the cups). Until then it will be tough losing players we develop but as long as we keep bringing more through we can only get stronger - this is what KL and the Board are doing - it is a longer term view. So give them a break. please.

I agree St. Psy

We have to realise that despite our wishes to be a huge club and play in the CL we are a long way off even with the players we had. We are replacing them and will be strong again this year after a few games to settle the team.

The media have well and truly poured petrol on the fire regarding the so called crisis at Saints but if you take time to reflect then look at Athletico Madrid, they won the league were minutes away from winning the CL and are losing players at a rapid rate of knots.

The players we have lost will look very average in the teams they have gone too (if they play) and history tells you that not many that leave us push on in their careers, only Bale and Shearer really shone.

Beattie, Crouch, Bridge, Oxo, Walcott, Surman, Oakley, Wallaces x2, Williams and that young CB Matt that went to Man City all dipped after leaving, big fish small pond to small fish big pond.

Totally agree St. Psy however we get hammered by the majority for having this opinion. Really annoys me when they liken KL and the Board to Rupert Lowe.

People will always moan. Fact of life. I admire their passion but not their logic. Liebherr and and Lowe are leagues if not worlds apart. In a strange sense though you have to thank Lowe for bringing Saints down so Liebherr could send them back up. Liebherr would not have come in had Lowe actually turned it around.

Sentiment aside, Liebherr has the money to back the club up. Now is the point that we are coming out of the club making £ms losses and so Liebherr is now hoping the club can sustain itself without further injection of funds. The new training ground should start paying back if the £90m generated has not already done so; depends how the funds are distributed as there are other debts. We are giving out honest valuations on deals and are negotiating hard to get the right people in. Pellè, Tadić and Bertrand have looked as new signings. Taïder comes with a reputation that should be good for Saints. Isgrove, McQueen, Reed, McCarthy and Targett have all looked good, if not great, in preseason as well. Ward-Prowse is coming along spectacularly. To top that off as well, Saints have not said their business has been concluded for this window. There is still activity yet to come. Also with the no 5 and 7 shirts not being filled I am sure they are being saved for particular reasons.

Totally agree, there is not a lot else the board can do or say to change the naysayers minds, proof of the pudding etc!
