Just a thought how about bringing adkins back loves the club out of work I believe? Everyone is replacable this could b a blessing in disguise. don't get me wrong I rate koeman but if the man wants off let him go and don't forget he does and has upset a lot of players while he's been here. Trust in the club haven't got it wrong yet. As we've seen with so many players grass isn't always greener. Also just thought did the club see this coming as everton need a gk (forster signed a new deal) everton need a cb (van dijk signed a new deal) plans will b in place as they were when poch left but this time the new manager will have a squad to work with

I swear Adkins is the most overrated manager we've ever had. Yes, he was in charge through the promotions and I appreciate that, but with the squad we had, anyone could have done it. If he's as good as most saints fans think why couldn't he repeat it at Reading and why was he sacked by shef Utd for finishing in their worst league position for 33 years?

Fully agree wit SSS. If you look at the squad we had when Adkins was in charge its hardly surprising how well he did. And as you said from his other jobs never performed then same.

I think he always felt lucky to be at the club and was punching above his weight being in charge. Shame we can't say the same for Poch and RK who both felt that Saints were a stepping stone and not a club they could see a long term future at.

I think the true reflection of all this is that 99.9% of people trusted the word of RK and have been hugely let down . He seemed a genuine guy who you would have lent 20 quid to until payday and have had no worries about getting it back. His actions (money or not) are nothing less than bewildering. How much money do you need, he was earning more in one year at SFC than I earned in my entire working life. Just plain greed then .

If Koeman wants to go, let him, this is about business and money, football has no loyalties except for its fans.
Look at the so called big clubs, Chelsea, no European football, sacked the so called best manager in Mourinho and now have to start again with Conte.
Liverpool, sacked Rodgers, got in Klopp, no European football.
Manchester Utd, sacked Van Gaal for Mourinho, no Champions League.
Manchester City, no league title, Guardiola in for Pellegrini.
They will run out of managers eventually to throw the big bucks at, and most of these clubs don't even bring young talent through, they just nick them off other teams for silly money.
Southampton will be fine with or without Koeman, and as long as we have Matthew Le Tissier sitting in the directors box at times, we as fans know loyalty when we see it. COYR.
