Anyone else think Marcus Barnes will get a crack at first team football this season? Banging in the goals at lower levels, and now with this U23's format, he'll be playing against bigger and stronger players. I can see maybe a little run in certain cup games.
What's your opinion on him?

one hat trick don't make you good enough for 1st team .
hes just come back from a long injury set back .
maybe in a year or 2 he will get a chance.

If there are any academy players that can make the step up this season I think one of the most definite candidates so far is sam mcqueen. I'm hoping hesketh would follow suit this season as well having made his first team start last season.
