It hurts me to say we are now being run as all other teams as a business and I understand you have to be careful but when you receive all these funds from transfers and don't even reinvest three quarters of it its hard for us SAINTS FANS to take and for us to keep up with the rest.

Since when have the board not re-invested transfer funds?

Currently, this season we've sold players for about 60 million and spent roughly 30 million.
15/ 16 we sold players for 45 million and spent 49 million.
14/ 15 we sold players for 100 million and spent 90 million.

This whole rubbish of how much money the club has spent needs to stop. If we sold Long for 30 million and brought in Messi for 1 million would you moan about the other 29 million not being invested? Look at the quality of player we bring in not the £ sign.

Sometimes I get really concerned about the comments posted by our supporters.

We are not only a selling club we are THE super selling club that ambitious big clubs use as a shop, we are a massive football player and football manager shop. And a journalists wet dream.

Thinking positive doesn't get the players in. Hojberg and Redmond have been good signings but we are incredibly short up front. With the extra fixtures this season we need a much stronger squad, especially if we want to maintain the standards on the pitch that the club has set itself. At the moment we look like we'll be severely stretched come Xmas, key injuries or suspensions will hurt big time. CB, AM and S needed. Imho JRod, Austin, Clasie, Gardos and Yoshi are names that come to mind which should probably be moved on this season to free up wages and squad space. The name in there that saddens me is Clasie, I really hoped he would work out but I think the Prem is just too much for him.

I think the problem is with bringing new players in, is we have given many current players new contracts, we can only increase our salaries by 30% from last season, we are properly near that cap.

Harsaint. When we weren't run as a business we ended up in administration. I think I would rather be where we are than where we were.

I don't know why you support (? ) our beloved saints. Suggest you change allegiance to our " friends" down the road and then you could have a field day whinging. Let me know if you do then I could warn some of workmates who are Pompey supporters. Sorry but there are too many negative posts when we are only 2 games into the new season not only from you but others. There are many positives - try looking for them. Keep the faith.

You can't lose three of your best players ( and they were) and say keep the faith. I honestly believe we are going to sign two players before the window closes but this should have been done ages ago . Pelle wanted to leave in January but he stuck it out for the team . Anyway don't panic the players will arrive and we will be fine.
