Watching SkySport Transfer day special. Not one whisper all day so far regarding SFC so is no news good news or do we think we have a squad good enough to compete in possibly 50 - 60 games this season. I am personally not sure we have so therefore another player must be coming in . If we get injuries or suspensions which is a definite we will be too thin squad wise. If not with the way other sides are increasing their squads with quality we may very well be in trouble pretty soon . However the club are pretty shrewd so therefore there must be one or two coming in at least I hope so. Seems odd that apart from Fonte nobody seems to be interested in signing any of our other players including VVD . They are obviously once again waiting for the end of the season when a few more will want to leave especially if we struggle this season which seems possible or more worryingly increasingly likely.

It might just be that with extended contracts for nearly all key players their cost would just be too high?

I agree but with all this cash flying around like confetti contracts don't seem to be much of a stumbling block if a club really wants a player. Just maybe we don't have any top quality players left that are attractive to other clubs . We have very good players but that's just about it. Nothing special anymore apart from VVD.

The board can't just sell players all at once all of the time otherwise fans would definitely kick off, they need to play the game carful push the fans to the edge but not over the edge. The sell of VVD is probably all arranged for next summer transfer window with his agent.

3 players left. All criticised extensively last season, but we have nothing special anymore now they have gone?

They were never criticised by me, in fact I championed Pelle as being highly underrated by many of our supporters and pundits in general . I think we have already seen this season that there is a gaping hole where he used to be . An expert at holding the ball up and releasing Mane / Long and Davis to get in to goal scoring positions . He is a big loss to us and not being replaced by similar will I think turn round and bite us in the arse.
