Some of the posts on here are laughable. Certain people yet again have only shown themselves once we've lost a couple of games and start giving it the negative and saying "bring back cortese" you know what, cortese signed osvaldo, ramirez and veggard forren. look how they worked out!? Did we get in to Europe under him? No. Just move on! We support SOUTHAMPTON. It's not cortese FC, it's our club. MY club. The same team that nearly didn't exist a few years ago. So yeah, we're having a rubbish season in comparison to what we've had before. and yet somehow we're still mid table. back in the 90's a good season so far meant being 1 place outside of the relegation zone! Have some bloody perspective! Support the team. Trust the board. If they've made a mistake I trust them to rectify it. I'm not happy with the last few results, our exit from Europe or our style of play/ rotation. but some of the comments on here are utterly ridiculous. Get a grip

Problem is a lot of fans have grown use to consistency of being a top 8 team. We've continued to improve throughout the last 3 seasons and this seasons looks like we will not improve. We've all forgotten what it was to lose 3 games in a row.
You're correct we shouldn't be negative. The premier league is extremely close this year outside of the top 6 six. A few good results swing our way we'll be 7/ 8 and everyone will be happy. We have a few bad results and we'll look like relegation candidates.

At last fans who show some perspective and sense. Well said Milkysaint and Saintjay. We March on. There will be ups and downs. We have to stay positive for our own sanity. It will get better. The media and those like Rodney Marsh want to see us fail. They always have because we do things diffferently and we do it the Southampton way.
I watched the sky sports documentary on us the other night. It's still holds good and we must not lose focus. We are unique and will find a way out of this. Keep the faith.

I think everyone on here feels the same despite how it comes across. the only problem is what the quality of football is, the style isn't quite the Southampton way players storming down the tunnel and kicking things its not just the fans eho are pissed off its the players too. i'm considerably happy with the season. saints beat inter milan . I never thought i'd say that. But the transfers hsve to be right and the players linked in and out are worrying

I think the possession game works well for us. It worked well when Poch was in charge. We just had a better-attacking flow back then. I don't know if it's Puel or if it's the quality of players we have. We now on his day Tadic is one of the best creative players in the league.

Obviously the main frustration is the unnecessary rotation. It's a tactic that managers will use when they are desperate to win games, and are in the relegation zone. Maybe he'll rotate less after these next few days. The trouble is a lot of our players are at the same level and have similar qualities.

Saying this I've been limited on the Saints games I've watched.

I totally agree with the laughable posts! I must admit i've sent a few in my time. Some people are saying that we will get relegated! Don't think that is going to happen for a long time. I think people are getting so bugged off with all these losses and the new boring style of play that they are saying things they don't really mean. I trust the board will invest in some decent players and will maybe reconsider the tactics, so let's not dwell on the negatives but focus on the positives. And finally let's all buckle down and give OUR CLUB all of our support!
Lets march on!

I totally agree Milky get some perspective. People who moan now obviously have short memories and even when we were in the Premier league we had Merrington, Branfoot and some shocking signings (Kerry Dixon/ David Speedie well past there Chelsea prime) We have good players and a manager with Champ League experience. Few signings and were fine.
