What on earth is CP (clueless pratt) playing at the season is over, we aren't going down we aren't finishing in place for europe, so why the hell are we going to liverpool and playing for a draw? It was clear for every1 to see what we were doing from the first whistle. Surely seeing as there's nothing to play for let the players go out and have a go just to see what they really are capable of. i'd rather these last few games see us lose like 3-2 or maybe even win but at least see some exciting football. To go and play for a draw at this stage of the season is, let's be honest people:
1) pointless
2) the definition of boring
3) showing us the fans cp doesn't get what football is about (excitment and entertainment)
4) finally just plain mind boggling and confusing showing there really are just some idiotic and cluesless people roaming this wonderful earth.
That is 2 hours of my life I will never be able to get back and I feel robbed.

You're missing the point we just messed up their season they can't qualify for champions league.

I think overall on the season you are correct but If you'd told me 0-0 away to Liverpool before I'd of taken it.

I sort of agree with you and don't. The way we set ourselves up to counter attack was perfect. If it had been any other time in the season no one would be complaining. We nullified a very potent attacking line up.
If though we had gone at it with the attitude that we have nothing to lose we could well have come away from Liverpool having conceded 3 or 4.

Yes I totally agree - the whole match plan was that Liverpool had to come and attack us and win the game - at home in front of their crowd. So set up with 9 players behind the ball and then attack with a 5 players when you get possession.

Its exactly how Juventus will win the Champions League this year without conceding a goal. what's wrong with that - Ok the score was 0-0 but let's face it that's not a bad away result against one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

If you are bored watching 90 minutes of football then Match of the Day does a highlights package where they condense each game into a 5 minute segment where they just show free kicks and shots on goal and generally miss out the build up play completely.

We've been playing for extra-time and penalties all season.

set up to play attacking football vs chelsea - get a few put past us and you moan

set up defensively vs liverpool - keep a 4th clean sheet against them and come away with a decent draw and you still moan

CP isn't the problem, it's just that you love a moan.

I read a post from saint0001 I believe, that stated he couldn't wait for the season to end. Although disappointed, I can appreciate his comment - we have recently been blessed with an exciting end to seasons, where we try and finish for Europe. but this season is a blanket dead cert for a comfortable mid table end finish.

Whilst we bemoan certain tactics, we had an incredible amount of games at the start of the season, and a squad which (in terms of our recent success) weaker than normal. But Puel has played with the philosophy and I am sure no doubt down to injuries, has given Jack Stephens and JWP more games this season than ever before! Romeu has come on leaps and bounds, and even Boufal is starting to learn the premiership the hard way. Josh Sims threw off Koeman wondering where he came from.

Yes the season isn't what what we wanted. but really? 5 years ago everyone would have bitten off someones piece for this!

Ironically enough, the worst player on the pitch against, liverhampton (for me) was Tadic, as the vast amount of times in attack when we lost possesion, it was a poor decision where he gave the ball away. but the team recovered. Yes we should have had a Pen, but the one thing I did notice, that I haven't seen for a long time, is the "dirty" side - where frazer towered over Milner etc. we are far to guilty of playing the nice game. (Like last week against Hull when Tadic tried to stay on his feet and if he would have gone down, would have got a Pen) . admittedly he would probably missed that one aswell, lol.

I can't see anyone leaving unless a significant amount of money is thrown, but I can see the squad regrouping and trying to remain injury free. And who cares if the company is taken over. that's football. a business. let's hope we don't have to change out colours to accommodate their company lol.

0-0 away at Liverhampton will NEVER be a bad result, regardless to men behind the ball. I am not a Puel lover, but he took us to a final without conceding and the football gods / referees were not on our side. with injuries and games and squad size. he really hasn't done a bad job.

Onwards and upwarsd SFC.

with nothing to play for I would like to see some of the squad and fringe players tried we seem to have stopped trying different formations etc and have to stick to one striker. Manolo I think will be immense has everything movement good feet quick and not a push over as we saw against Liverpool. Why do we always take him off though can we not play 2 strikers just once to try it. Would love to see olufelo tried alongside and or bring in reed etc for some game time. seems a waste not to give them a go as we were keen to sacrifice them all against arsenal in the cup.

So who was moaning at the chelsea game at least we gave it a go against by far the best team in the league. If you remember the other games we played against liverpool this season we were by far the better team. Football is about winning and to win you need to have the ball and score goals or least try to and I believe we have the players to create and score if they are played in the right system with a bit of tempo and quick passing. Enough said.
