Wondering why we aren't making a move for Barkley - he is a quality (international) player; I accept we are a bit overrun in midfield but surely he would warrant a starting place - most of our midfield were "mediocre" at best last season bar Romeo. With him reported to want to leave surely there is a bargain to be had? Be fab to see Munir or (especially) Vietto at the club, he is quality - I still think we need a CB and pacey winger, I'd be happy to see either Tadic or Bouffal go for a better player. Lost out on Loftus-Cheek to Palace, to slow on the draw Saints.

he's overrated and not got a good enough attitude on and off the pitch to be considered for Saints. Why would we pay well over the odds for him?

Boufal is a excellent player, Loftus-Cheek is an unknown, would rather have any of our midfielders than him.

Can't see us selling boufal when we've only just signed him and he hasn't had a proper chance through injury etc. tadic is a tough one, his temperament was poor last season and if he goes near another penalty I'd probably run on and stack him! But he's our main creative source and leading assist/ chance maker.

Barkley in theory would be ideal, but in reality I don't know of other would work and I imagine Everton still want 30 mill for him which is about 10-15 mill too much.

Jules - I can't see even the remotest possibility of Saints bidding for Ross Barkley - he is exactly the type of player we never buy - expensive - already "developed" - high profile and possibly has an over developed sense of his own importance. I will donate £20 to charity of your choice if we bid for him as long as its nothing to do with anything in the city of Liverpool.

Saints going for Barkley lol, he probably doesn't even know where Southampton is agree totally with FU2,he wants out of everton because he thinks he's too good for them I wouldn't mind betting his agent has told him already who's interested hence koeman playing hard ball over his delay in signing a new contract.
