The more I watch us play the more I feel like we still really lack a Mane replacement. Someone who is willing to consistently run in behind defences through the middle. Our main players who seem able to get in behind are Bertrand and Cedric (Redmond does sometimes, but usually only when the opposition has 10 men in the box already) . I think if we can get someone running in behind to stretch the opposition defence, then that will give Gab/ Austin more time on the ball. We have a huge number of shots being blocked because the opposition are just happy to sit back, but if we can get a pacey player willing to make those runs it may stretch them a bit more and reduce that. I like Redmond but I do feel most of his running is sideways. Fully aware that a replacement at Mane standard is unlikely at best, but I think even a lower quality player willing to make those runs would help us going forward.

Adama traore worth a gamble? Stats are good pace and strength is immense having watched the u23's we got goals from crosses from both wings! Manager was in the stands what are people's thoughts on a bid for lascelles from Newcastle maybe an alternative to wimmer and Hoedt.
