Hi guys
I have just watched the video link for all of Ricky Lambert's goals for Saints and they epitomise what a talent he was goals from all over the pitch and the constant themes are composure, intelligence, bravery. He was a genuine talent, great free kicks, great first touch and movement and sublime penalty taker. I have stated previously that he needs to be on our coaching staff and if Saints fail to secure him, that will be an absolute disaster. I feel very strongly about this guys and I have written to Mr Krueger and implore all Saints fans to do the same.
Regards VS.

I understand the earnest intention VintageSaint, but it seems to me you’re overlooking a few things.
Don’t you first want to know if a) . he is interested in a coaching role, b) . whether he has obtained or is pursuing any coaching qualifications, c) . whether he is interested in such a role far away from his native north-west now that he has retired from playing, d) . whether he is/ would be any good as a coach?
You may consider him the consummate professional with good technical abilities, but that doesn’t mean he can come in and coach strikers or forwards, young or old, to play as he did or be more prolific. Do ex-players make the best coaches, especially when they have no coaching experience? Just because he can execute a great free-kick, can he teach one of our current players to do the same?
It’s a bit of a ‘hail mary’ isn’t it?

Figo I expect everyone's head is telling everyone the same but no one wanted to say it. I'm happy to live in the land where sir rl comes down coaches our strikers and we start smashing 4 or 5 goals a game. then he comes out of retirement to score the fa cup winning goal and secure our premiership winning campaign.
