Been watching sky sports a few of the clubs around us are not spending in January going to dig in a fight with what they've got
Our main objective must be a proven striker
And a goal keeper all other areas can wait till the summer
Think hoite and Stevens would see it through till the end
Yosh recently has started making mistakes
And it's costing us Burnley say no more.

Agree Keeper should be priority number 1 - easiest position to find a quick fix and save us points.

Don't agree about striker. The strikers we have have had no service whatsoever. I think it's too simplistic to say that we're struggling to score goals, so let's buy a striker. Problem starts in midfield for me, we need to find our own KDB, Siggy, Ozil type player to link our good holding midfielders (romeu, hojberg, lemina) with our attackers who, in theory, are very talented.

Not saying a striker wouldn't help, but I don't think it's the biggest issue and I don't see us being able to attract anybody notably better than Austin/ Gabbi. We can bring in any striker we want, unless they get better service than we've given our current strikers, they won't do much better.

tbf, just seen Austin's out a couple months. This may change things, as as much as I love him and his work rate, Long's finishing is so bad that I just don't think he cuts it anymore. For a striker who relies on running in behind, it's kind of unforgivable that he's as bad at one on ones as he is.

If anything were to happen to Gabbi, we'd be in serious trouble. Even if Gabbi stays fit, we'd be short of options.

A big strong forward who can hold it up and score
Pelle type would change our dimensions up front something we've missed this year
Our game plan can never change because of this
Look what arsenal do is every year
But remond and tadic have lost any confidence at the moment and with out berts and Cedric not playing even this as a option could back fire
The manager has to sort this out that's his job and what he's paid to do confidence within the teams as low as it's been for a few years now.

We’re creating a good number of chances every game but not scoring. We need proven finishers to convert these chances so forward players are a must, not only to score in Austin’s absence but to take the pressure off him when he is fit and playing. The added benefit to better attacking players is that it also take pressure off our defenders. I think we have enough defensively at the moment to keep us midtable. We have drawn and lost so many games by the odd goal when we’ve squandered several good chances at the other end that would’ve seen us win the game. Goalkeeper is an issue for the long term, we need a powerful leader in the back four at centreback for the long term, a decent right back and a creative, attacking midfielder but most of these can wait. We need a proven goalscorer with pace and/ or a target man, a wide player or two with pace and accurate crossing ability but importantly, a high work rate and the ability to trackback when required. Easy….

Eds, anything more solid you’ve picked up on the grapevine? I’m pleased to see us linked with Dembele, Elyounoussi and Sturridge but is this just paper talk?

Ed is loic Remy a serious option? Is he a goalscorer we need. seems to of struggled most places?

Why Remy Ed's? Say if I'm wrong but I swear I remember you guys saying you couldn't understand the interest in him over the summer?

I would take Remy any day of the week
Heard a rumour Stevan Jovetic is a possibility
Would love that so let's wait and see
TBH if pellegrino doesn't get any results in the next 2 games he could and should be gone.

Whatever the situation we will probably play brinksmanship and end up losing out to other clubs. Looks like Sandro Wagner is leaving Hoffenheim for Bayern as soon as the window opens; how about the board being bold for once and making a move on him. We will have to pay about 20million more than we would have when we were offered him 18 months ago. He's a perfect replacement for Pelle. While we're at it how about a move on Jannick Vestergaard as a solid replacement for Van Dijk.
