Forget tradition. Forget the Southampton way. Forget the right manager.

What we need is a board that is able to see and for me see the obvious.

Last 10 games of last season it was abundantly clear that goal scoring was a big issue. It was abundantly clear that the goalkeeper was an issue.

Did the board address this? No.

We have to address this now. Managers can never be any good without the right players. The players have to want to play for SFC and want to approve themselves. Buy players who are ambitious and fit!

Personally I would look for players who currently reside in the UK.

Players who are ambitious will be off after 1-2 years.

The thing people don't seem to recognise is that just about any attacker worth their salt was costing over 30 million over the summer. I have little doubt the board were looking at players we could bring in going forwrd, but I'm glad they didn't just go out and buy players to appease impatient fans. Walcott for example, I really don't think he'd make us better. Happy to be proved wrong, but I just don't think he's much better than what we have.

It baffles me that it's taken about a year for Saints fans to go from praising our management and waxing lyrical about how we're the best run club in the poem, to now slamming anybody associated with the club as incompetent. Broadly speaking, it's the same people in charge. We're in a tough spot, but I don't really understand what you all expected. Us to finish 8th, then 7th, then 6th, 5th, 4th, 4rd etc. until we're winning the league? Get real.

Times are tough but the same poeple are in charge who brought us back from the brink in an unbelievable space of time. It's fair to criticise, but come on, let's not be as ridiculous as this poster and some others that I've seen on here lately. Us fans forced Puel out, and now we're standing here all righteous saying firing him was a mistake. It's pathetic and embarassing to see.

We all sat and watched the games last year and found some difficult to watch because of the negativity and this years not been any better
Puel ground the results out but pellegrino doesn't seem to be able to set us up and be able for us to see out results
We've had enough games where we've been in front and conceded late this season
With out a doubt we shouldn't be where we are in the table with these players but the blame has to lie somewhere.

Sorry diggy5471

Most saints fans saw this comming three seasons ago, KL was no good as a football club chairwoman, but as an asset stripper she was brilliant, assess the squad sell the best for loads of cash, replace with inferrior cheaper players and bring through the accadamy youngsters, sell anyone that we bought the previous season that come good for loads more cash when their's no one left sell the club JOB DONE.

disilussioned.
