Hi guys, I'm here in the states and haven't seen hilights? of last night's debacle, but who does MP have on his coaching staff? I am aware Eric Black has gone but to be honest I didn't know enough about him, but obviously our marking and defending are f------ awful! Both Moyes and Allardyce have Sammy Lee and Stuart Pearce respectively and both WH and Everton defences have improved significantly. I have stated previously that ex pros such as the Nevilles or even Graham Le Saud or Lee Dixon should be drafted in as we are woeful in this area, and these guys played at the highest level and would have total credibility. Another point we have just cleared just short of £60m from the sale of DVD and we are supposedly quibbling over Walcotts wages? I get tired of this ridiculous penny pinching, we are the ones in the doodoo, not Theo. I'm extremely concerned that if this plan doesn't work plus Sturridge, what are our other options? I remember too vividly relegation and the crap years until ML rescued us and one thing is absolutely certain, relegation has to be avoided at all costs! Because there is no certainty of coming back, look at Fulham, QPR, Reading. It's interesting that myself and others were accused of being too negative and that our forecast of being in the bottom 3 at Xmas was way off the mark, well sorry guys we are deep in it the Board need to pay up and get in whoever will come as we are not an attractive option. So let's see what happens. Regards vs.

Kelvin Davis was recently replaced as head coach. Good fit in terms of he knows the club, is very close to the club, so may be able to motivate players. May have had the say in Alex McCarthy replacing FF. However, has also recently only got his coaching colours so is still very inexperienced. Which isn't what we need right now.
Eric Black himself was quite experienced. Had managed a lot of Premier League clubs (Blackburn, Aston Villa) . However, they're not good PL clubs and a lot of them have been relegated whilst he was part of the coaching staff. So I didn't think he was the right fit.

I was one of the others Vintage and could see it coming but was vilified as not being a true supporter. Like you my support for SFC goes back a long way and been through all the highs and very lows ( sorry about the pun ), We scraped through over the years admittedly but passion and the will to win was never missing. It may be me that’s changed who knows. Motivation comes from the top and if the board are saying that MP is doing a fine job then the players must think they are doing their best. If they do then their best isn’t good enough, the only way out of the mess we are in is to play with fire in your belly as we did a few years ago. The players back then were mostly less gifted than the squad we have now but wanted to win so badly they gave everything. Maybe I’m seeing it all wrong but if not we could lose a lot more than football matches for the rest of this season namely the support and passion of masses of disillusioned supporters.

Points well made from concerned fans.
Like you guys been a Saint for more years than I care to remember. Seen good and bad seasons, good and bad managers.
I think our answer lies over at Swindon Town, their Director of Football, Tim Sherwood.
English, top former professional, did well at Spurs (50% win rate), saved Villa from relegation and got them to the FA Cup final.
He's a motivator, gets the best out of the team and uses youth players.
Give him a 5 year contact.

Not sure Staffs but one thing is certain he couldn’t do any worse. Not keen on Cortese but if he was still here MP would be long gone.
