Does anyone know how the VVD sale was structured? I've read reports today mentioning we've only received £17m upfront.

Like most transfers, I assume the fee is spread out over a number of years. From memory (I read an article on this a few years back), the fee is often spread out over the length of the initial contract, with deals varying as to whether this is spread evenly or front loaded. From the sound of things, VVD deal was quite 'buyer friendly' (i. e. evenly spread out rather than big initial payments), hence the high total value of 75mil.

I'm not certain of all this though, maybe eds know if this is right?

Just read we could be going for Kelechi Iheanacho,
Any thoughts on this personally I would be happy with this he definitely knows where the net is
Struggled at Leicester but maybe he just doesn't suit the system he's young enough and has bags of potential.
