Read a few posts over the day around the board not being happy with MP and results on the pitch. It was a Telegraph article and written by a guy who worked for the echo and has connections at the club so the info is deemed as accurate. Maybe we will get a new manager in the window rather than a striker or playmaker.

Jeremy Wilson wrote the club have a blue print of how the clubs structured for the way we play buy players and if the manager can't provide the wins they expect he's inevitably going to be replaced
They've lost patience with the amount of wins and our league position
this was from the telegraph who are usually spot on.

But who would we bring in. I keep saying is it him saying sit back when we are Ahead or do the players do it through fear. We must of dropped 10-12!points when winning going into the last 30mins so is it fitness. Liverpool are crap at the back get took the game to city we can’t do that as we don’t have the finishers but we have a very good back 5 so need to trust them and keep players up to keep the opposition honest and not let them push on to much. I fear against spurs but couple of biting tackles and they will wings and kick out as the always do . This is a game to get stuck in and stand up and watch the reactions. There isn’t one in that team bar big vic who can take a tackle.

Got a gut feeling something maybe about to happen either before or more likely after the Spurs game. New manager coming in. The board aren’t so stupid to let the decline continue and will have been looking at managerial options in recent weeks. If we get no points from this game he is gone and may already be dead man walking.
No info is good as it means nothing is leaking out. Let’s hope they get any appointment right this time.
One of the Bundesliga managers perhaps or Gary Monk?
Ed’s do you know who might replace Pellegrino?
Just my feeling nothing more.

If your going to change regardless you would do it before the game and step somebody up to play the way they want clealry nothing decided as he is still in charge. I still feel the players are as liable as the manager if they are unhappy why not take it upstairs.

Completely agree with all you said about Saints there 001, let our defenders defend and free our attackers. Whether you want to play 5 at the back or consider Romeu the 5th defensive player, the rest of the players need a lot more freedom.

Like you said, it's hard to tell if its the players or the manager, but I suppose either way the buck ultimately stops with MP because if it's the players, he's responsible for drilling that out of them!

Pellegrino said he was expecting 2 players this week and nothing's happened
Have they now reconsidered his position and thought ok
If he's not here let's hold off on buying players until we get a new manager

If they go down this route the new manager has no time to recruit and has to work with what he's got
And with this option they
Explain that their appointment in the summer hasn't worked out and they have now got a top manager and
Without spending a penny we're all happy because we've got a top manager and we stay up and start playing the football we've been used to
75 mill banked happy owner
Only out lay is the new managers wage and pellegrinos pay off
Conspiracy theory
What you think.

If that's the case the board should of been concerned months ago!?!

I think that’s about right Diggy5471.
It has to be. It’s got that feel of it. Just waiting to get the new manager in place and bingo!

To be honest I'd be happy with that out come
Our players are good enough just need a manager to shake things up.

Garry monk would be a good shout. I would be happy with him.

Let's face it Milky he could do no worse and being an ex Saint might be worth giving him a go. Still think Strachan could do a job, he did it before.

Only problem with monk is he's not a massive name who would get respect from some of the foreign players
Plus he's been sacked recently again which couldn't personally have done his confidence much good
He did a good job at Swansea but has fallen off a bit in terms of where he would expect to be
If we're league 1 or championship yes but premier no
I can't see he would be a up grade on what we've got now.

I would be happy with a older type of manager who's been round the block knows the score has nothing to prove and will get these lads playing the way we were 2 seasons ago I don't think we played bad on occasions this year but we just can't see the job through and with someone who's more tactically astute than what we have we could have been 12-15 points better off already
Some like pellegrini who's in China I know but someone like that
Personally I think someone at saints cocked up and did a typo and that's who we should have had in the first place.

We need a coaching team who believe in the high pressing game and delivering early crosses into the box, Gabbi Austin and long would look different players if that happened. If Pellegrino can achieve that then great. if not then we need a head coach who can.
