There's been no rumours about this, but Arsenal have released Per Mertesaker. What would everyone's thoughts be if we signed him. I know he's notoriously slow, but an older player with a lot experience could be an ideal signing. I reckon we should also look at stealing Blind or Rojo from United.
What's everyone else's thoughts. I think we've got good CB's.

Why not just drag Jaidi out of retirement? Or better yet, bring back super Jos Hooivelt?

I've clearly missed a lot and didn't think about this before I posted it, haha thanks Ed ;)
But in all seriousness just thinking about an experienced defender at from a European club - who could we bring in. I read an article suggesting we make a move for Gary Cahill if Chelsea sign a new CB.
