Sad if the news about Tadic is true, he gets a lot of stick, yes, sometimes rightly so (what player doesn't? ) but to sell him over the likes of Boufal, Redmond or Carillo I find mystifying.

I agree, he actually won us some of our much needed points this season with quite a few goals and assists. His consistency is an issue, but like you say, compared to some of the other players we have he shouldn't really be going. He also got an assist in Serbia's lost to Switzerland.

Carillo hasn’t had a chance Jesus Christ signed by manager who left straight away. Redmond looked good till pep messed with his head. Boufal is a luxury we can’t afford and move him on.

0001, agree with you about giving players a chance, but I also get the point from the OP. Whilst he can be frustrating (Tadic), I would sooner lose others first.

Redmond has never looked good, not at Norwich and not at Southampton . pace but nothing else. Tadic I've always been critical of but. everyone in the game (professionals) raves about how good he is for southampton and how good the job is he does . now I've never seen enough of that but I feel apprehensive of selling him in case we all of a sudden really miss what the professionals see? I dunno but I hope there is a real gutting of players that do not seem to be Southampton players . a bit fluffy I know but a physio is a friend of a friend type thing says Redmond and boufal are really disruptive and have bad attitudes around the dressing room. now I don't know how true it is so don't shoot me but I wouldn't be sorry to see them leave. Carrillo doesn't seem to have enough about him to be suited to us but you're right in he has not had enough of a look in so I wouldn't be fussed either way if he stayed or left.

Tadic is a decent player and on his day a joy to watch. Over the last few seasons he has been our main attacking threat, however due to a lack of creativity, pace and any players to actually run at the opposition since Mane left, Tadic has been heavily marked and often expected to create something out of nothing. Mane could take 2-3 opposition players out of the game at any time with his pace and skill, leaving Tadic space and time to actually put his creativity to good use. His less impressive form has also coincided with the overall team performance, due to negative tactics, under performing players and poor player recruitment. He can be frustrating and inconsistent but I genuinely believe that in a good team he would thrive. Ajax will get a bargain for £15 million in the current market, in spite of the fact he is not far shy of 30.
As Rayzor mentioned above, Redmond has never lived up to the hype. He has the pace but very little else to his game that warrants a starting place in a premiership team.
Boufal is someone I’m genuinely gutted about, he has the potential to run opposition defences ragged but his work rate and attitude are questionable. He also seems to lack the ability to pass!
Carrillo hasn’t been given a fair chance, coming into the team when confidence was at its lowest and the team wasn’t performing as a whole. He has all the credentials to perform at this level and I would be interested to see how he gets on if given a fair chance. That being said, Hughes clearly didn’t rate him or he would have had a chance towards the back end of the season.
