Just a though (not a rumour), Lamina was not in the team in Dijon, could it be that Man City or West Ham have made a bid?

Rumours that we are interested in Danny Drinkwater on loan from Chelsea. We have done well in the past;
Jack Cork
Ryan Bertrand
Oriol Romeu

Option (1) Sell to Man City, say £35 million cash or £25 Million plus Patrick Roberts, then take Danny Drinkwater on Loan for a year with option to purchase!

Option (2) Sell to West Ham say £35 million, Still take on Danny Drinkwater and have Loftus Cheek as part of a deal plus some cash.?

Thoughts please - Ed what's your take?

{Ed001's Note - not sure either option is that good, because you get lumbered with Drinkwater either way....}

Thanks Ed 001

Maybe we take the cash then, although Patrick Roberts could do well for us as part of a Man City deal.

We still need some potency in front of goal, keen on English players but not has-beens, Sturridge, Welbeck a total no, possible Danny Ings but we are already blessed with "Crockery' in Charlie Austin and Shane Long, lovely bloke but.!

Any Championship/ Div 1 Strikers that are worth a look?

What would you do Re: Strikers?

{Ed001's Note - I am not convinced by Roberts, ability-wise he is good but seems to be struggling to use it regularly.

There are not a lot of quality players down there that haven't already moved. Personally I would have taken a punt on Eisa, but he has literally just joined Brizzle City. Very raw but he has something about him. Maybe Ben Brereton of Forest can be something if looked after properly, which is something Saints are very good at. Maybe Green at Villa?}

Thanks Ed001

Will take a look at them. I know that Green was being looked at but with the Villa cheque book back in action probably missed that boat!

We March on!

{Ed001's Note - their cheque book can't come out easily due to the FFP rules.}

No it won't be coming out, but surely they aren't in such a desperate situation that requires them to sell off all their assets?
Definitely don't want Danny drink water whatever happens. We need to keep lemina and get him playing to his ability consistently. Then he can go next season. We are strong in the middle of the park, but I don't see the point in weakening that just to take a punt on an untried (at this level) youngster in Roberts. done want ings either unless him and Austin can organise their injuries on an alternating basis.

{Ed001's Note - no they no longer need to sell up, but that doesn't mean one or two won't go to ease the situation while they sort things out.}

Many thanks. obviously No interest in forster. I fear we are going to be stuck with him. What a drain.

{Ed002's Note - He is available to go on loan and I expect he will.}

Didn't Brighton need a keeper?

Would've thought someone would take a chance on Forster. Only a year ago he was highly rated. I don't rate him personally, but I'd take a chance on him over the likes of Hart, for example.

It would be a sad day if Maya left - great and loyal servant for the club even if found wanting at times.

Surprised by the relative silence around Ryan Bertrand.
