First I support your comments regarding
Pull and the (short term) appointment of
Hughes. It appears they (The Board) have put themselves and the club in a similar position once again by appointing Hughes with a 3 year contract after the disastrous appointment of Pellegrino. All three of these management candidates were interviewed and scrutinised by THE BOARD prior to selection BY THEM.
Consider yourself indirectly as similar to a shareholder ( of vested interest of SFC (among many other supporters) who contribute regularly (through the turnstiles/ season ticket holders to support the team for their own enjoyment and club benefits and wellbeing.
A Board is put in place to oversee the . . running of the club. they in turn delegate to others to carry out responsible tasks. TheBOARD however are directly responsible for the hiring and firing of management and players. The appointment of 3 dud managers consecutively is down to the BOARD.
The previous compensation payments for 2 dud managers for breaking their 3 year contracts is a direct result of theBOARD'S poor and costly decision making (with a repeat performance looking probable)
This maybe part of the reason for delaying the sacking of Pellegrino (hoping for an upturn in results to deflect any spotlight on the BOARD who selected. and employed him. a
The approval of transfer finance and player suitability is considered by. The BOARD.
The purchase of Carrillo / Vestergaard / Hoedt for in excess of some 50 million pounds ( when at the time of purchase none were up to premier. league standard.
These are some of the reasons I think the BOARD. should be questioned and made
accountable to the support base.
Hope this explanation justifies.
I REST MY CASE YOUR HONOUR.

I appreciate your passion and good will, but you are making some weak points.

This the same BOARD that hired Atkins, Poch and Koeman; the same board that were responsible for favouring slow, sustainable growth rather than copy the QPR formula and for maintaining The Southampton Way - at least at youth level.

Saints FC are incredibly well run and despite my being as disappointed as the next man, I don't believe that they owe us any explanation as to why things aren't going well right now.

The new signings will come good, we won't be relegated (even if not by our own merit - there are at least 3 teams worse than us) and our problems on the pitch have allowed for formerly lesser players to shine, a la Højbjerg, Stephens, McCarthy and I hope Bednarek.

Keep the faith and you'll be repaid sooner rather than later.

I bought a KitKat once John. I'm not a shareholder in Nestle because of it. So you can consider yourself an indirect shareholder in the club all you like, you're wrong.

And as EC quite rightly said (although I'm not quite as optimistic as him! ), there are some very flawed and unsubstantiated arguments in there and some even worse English. Ok, I added the last bit.
