Looks like Chelsea will win race for vvd by offering cash and Andreas Christensen I would rather see them to use cash to buy another defender but take Tammy Abraham instead.

How about a look at the Bundesligue for a replacement for VVD (if it happens), maybe Jannik Vestergaard at Borussia MÃ¶nchengladbach would fit the bill.

Would be great deal tbh, Christensen has always looked a decent talent, could be something special. Obviously I'd rather van Djik stay but I wouldn't be mad at (supposedly) 50 million plus Christensen for him

@Deutsche Saint Christensen's currently on loan at Gladbach, him and Vestergaard have both looked solid this season imo. Getting both in next season although it'll never happen, would be great.

The entire rumour is nonsense, if we sign Van Dijk it'll be cash only, player swaps don't usually happen. Came from The Sun who took it from a guy on Twitter saying who he'd like to replace Van Dijk. Enough said.1.

Christensen looks quality, but this is very unlikely to happen given that he has been on loan for 2 years now and doing remarkably well, his stock will have increased and Gladbach are going to want to make the move permanent, which I would expect the player to prefer. Add into that, the reported 50m asking price for VD, Chelsea, if they were to include the swap deal, would almost definitely offer something in the region of 25m plus the player.

Incidentally, I rate VD as worth 50m easy, but will we get 59 for him when he obviously wants to leave? I doubt it. Spider-Man, lallana, lovren and mane all went for lower than their value. We are unfortunately a selling club, the buying club names the price when we are involved.

weird, because when we sold Lallana for Â£30 million and Lovren for Â£20 million we all said how well the club did to get that kind of money for them and how badly we'd ripped off Liverpool.
Â£30 million for Schneiderlin and Â£34 for Mane is hardly lower than what their value was when sold

I'd hardly say VVD obviously wants to leave either, if anything has come out about VVD and his willingness to leave is that he wants to stick around for at least another season, can't see the club giving him the captaincy if he's definitely off in the summer neither.
