Unai Emery and Eddie Howe are top of the shortlist to replace Koeman but with Howe unlike to leave the Cherries I would be putting my money on Emery as things stand would be some coup IMO.

AVB is the bookies favourite. If either of those or de Boer come in, I don't think anyone can accuse the club of lacking ambition.

Pb, how is going for Eddie Howe showing an inability to get away from Everton? Howe has never played for, or managed, or even been contracted in any way to Everton Football Club.

Sorry me again :) was just checking on rumours about a potential snag in koeman deal and saw this. Southampton have a fantastic set up in many areas and are arguably the most liked team by other fans ( apart from the champions) So I nearly jumped out of the window seeing avb linked. Too attractive team for him. Emery de boer or howe for me.

I know he supports your lot but I would hardly say that means we can't keep away from him. My family and the Howes were well acquainted a while back (indeed my dad helped with his first contract negotiations) so on a personal level I'd like to see him come to Saints. He's a good, intelligent, loyal young manager who would be an excellent fit with our philosophies. He's also very much a homebird so would be unlikely to leave the South Coast and thus our only future competition for him will be Bournemouth, Reading or Portsmouth - which we can handle.

Ed what is your opinion on Victor Pereira the current Fenerbache manager as an option for the SFC job?
{Ed002's Note - I don't know him and have never had any dealings with him but he is doing a very good job in Istanbul. I wouldn't think there would be any chance that Southampton could lure him to the south coast - and why would he move there?}
