Oops missed the million. Still we can forget about him now the transfer window has closed. Hope Forster's arm injury in training is not that bad and will be fit to face Arsenal next game up.

Spot on Marko. More than a rumour. Fits the criteria of Puel as potentially a young striker who is getting better with age. 22yrs old 6ft 2in and pretty fast in movement. About £10 would secure him.

Come on Les gamble on him! Would be over the moon if brought in. With Boufal now in these two would add an extra dimension to our play.

Agree that Austin seemed to be out of sorts Saturday. But I'm confident that his good games will outnumber the bad ones. At the end of the season Puel will still be here- another thing I'm confident about. Apparently Boufal has signed and we are still looking to get another signing in .

Cross fingers that Rodrigues gets more game time and returns to the striker he was before that terrible injury. The reason we are still doing business in reply to Saints0001 is that the board and manager are doing there damnest to strengthen the squad for a busy season ahead. Hopefully Forster will start for England ahead of " pretty boy - I got no dandruff" Hart.

With great sorrow my partner has been offered a job in New Zealand which he has accepted. We will be off by the end of September at the latest. We will be living in the north island based just outside Auckland. It's a wrench to think that for the next two years we won't be watching our beloved saints home and away.

I've enjoyed the rumours and the banter. All I can say is thanks to the editors - it's a tough job but you have managed it excellently. Thanks for all the positives. To the negatives - I understand your frustrations. Just try to believe and keep the faith. It will take time- Rome wasn't built in a day.

Great character names - have made a note of these. Well what more can I say. I will try and see if I can read this site on the other side of the world. Still got matches to watch before we go, but there's quite a lot of packing and moving to organise. Bye.

If it happens - YES. Looks good and could be a potentially good player. Unfortunately we have to wait and see. Still time in this transfer window. Keep the faith.

Leaving tomorrow night thanks Rayzer. Here's a bit of a controversial thought for food and debate. Sell in this window Classie, Fonte, Shane Long and JWP. Replace with like for like. Classie hasn't fulfilled his expectations. Fonte' s mind is in another world and making mistakes too often. Shane will run all day and reminds me of our pet dog when we throw a stick.

Both have as much chance of getting a goal. JWP couldn't tackle a custard tart. Showed promise a while ago and to me is now a bit of a liability - replace him with a midfielder that has more bite and goals. As for Forster well I am mystified by a 6ft 7in goalkeeper that doesn't impose himself enough . We will see what happens in this transfer window but don't hold your breath. I don't normally criticise our beloved club but I honestly can't see us getting in the top six with the present board. Hope I am proved wrong big time. Good luck guys and girls and best wishes for 2017.

Hi am back in uk for 1 week flying back to nz soon. Have been a passionate supporter for a long time. Was at first protective to Puel but have to say that the longer he is rotating his squad then the worse scenario is happening. To be fair I seriously think he is following instructions from our board.

To say that we are struggling up front is stating the bleeding obvious. What on earth is happening here to a club that even when the snake Koeman left still had the infrastructure to go forward. At this moment in time we will be lucky to stay up unless there is serious signinings made. I return to new with a heavy heart.

Hi guys I am back in England for 1 weeks holiday with my partner. Totally agree with gtsaint with his comments. I am sure that Puel is a puppet for our board to bring on the academy players with view to sell. Before I went to NZ I was very protective of our board - not so much now.

I feel sorry for Puel as he is being told by the board who he can buy ( at the cheapest price) and who goes. He has no say at all on any matters. We are flush with money and rubbish loads more to come. We are a club that shops at footballs equivalent to "Poundland" unless there is a major change of direction we will flounder at the wrong end of the league.

If we the supporters can see (obviously) that we need a class striker, at least 2 class midfielders that can make killer passes and 2 class CB's to replace Fonte and Yoshida then god help us. I will return to NZ with a heavy heart soon. Come on lads make noise at the board and make it known loudly that they need to sort this out NOW.

Flying out to New Zealand later tonight. Like I said I'll give a honest opinion of the Arsenal game which my partner and myself attended yesterday. Game by game the players are responding the the new system . For the first 30 minutes we totally outplayed Arsenal and going 1-0 up was we deserved. Any other day Koscietny would have been penalised for a high tackle but as it was the goal looked sensational. Long on another day would have put us back in the lead. Arsenal were at home and pressed very hard as the game went into injury time. Our defence didn't look like conceding until one of the most softest penalties was awarded.

The game should have been stopped before that incident with one of their players having taken a knock to to the head. Even a lot of the Arsenal supporters were amazed (but grateful for the chance to rob us of all 3 points) I say to people for christs sake give these players and manager the encouragement they deserve. Where on earth does gtsaint get his "penalties are a symptom of player unrest" from. Bonkers totally bonkers. Enjoyed my time on this site. Keep the faith.

I believe gtsaint has been nominated for the "most pessimistic supporter" award. Rumours have it that the books have closed at all betting agencies.
