wont miss elia , djuricic , rameriz.
we won't sign ings , hernandez turned us down last summer.

2.) 22 Apr 2015 14:03:06
I'd like to keep Ramirez for next season as we need depth for Europe, I don't mind Elia or Djuricic not signing though, J Rod won't go Koeman has made that clear, he hasn't played for a year wouldn't make any sense, any truth in Arsenal cooling their interest in Morgan Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. And Barcelona have been spurred in to thinking about a new manager with Klopp becoming available - otherwise they will continue to watch Koeman for next summer (2016).}

3.) 22 Apr 2015 17:06:06
Didn't hear about Osvaldo's demise!?

4.) 23 Apr 2015 07:52:37
So apparently Wenger has told Big Vic personally that he wants to sign him this summer. So you can add him to the list!

5.) 23 Apr 2015 12:24:15
Big Vic has since tweet that he's never spoken to Wenger, so you can cross him off the list?!

6.) 23 Apr 2015 16:12:20
So, you are saying Wenger has been tapping up?!

Like the fact RoKo is adding to his "arsenal"-he now can use English terms that even the media should understand-"It's bullsh*t"

Bruno Martins Indi, Redmond on the radar for January move! As well as permanant moves the loan boys.

Apparently we have had one bid turned down for Memphis Depay and are keen on some young striker from Roma (Eds heard anything on this)

Personally would like us to sign Benteke - One can only dream

Biggie Smalls

1.) That young striker from Roma, read a few articles on him, supposed to be next ibra :D and his family want a move abroad because the wages he could be offered here would be higher than less than 1k in Italy. Might sound like a money grabber but can't blame him at a young age, wouldn't say no anyway

Been told from a friend at the club of Southampton interested in the following; thoughts are that deals want to be tied up before the world cup in case of any added value of competition in the players.

Adam Taggart - Newcastle Jets
Hector Moreno - Espanyol
Abel Hernandez - Palermo

Biggie Smalls

1.) I think we're target players better than them

2.) Whilst the fact that the manager situation is in the air (unless we have already signed Poch to a new contract) I cannot see us looking to purchase any players.

Surely the managers post needs to be confirmed before any players?

Edd would you agree?

{Ed002's Note - The transfer window does not open to July and I doubt there will be commitments before then.}

3.) Hi ED would a takeover of the club by Cortese and co by a possibility or not? Still No change on poch?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know about Cortese being involved in a takeover. Nothing happened overnight about the manager - Spurs are still considering their options. For now you can discount interest from Monaco.}

4.) Obviously I'd love to see a fellow Aussie at the Saints, so long as they're good enough. Adam Taggart has real potential, won the Golden Boot in the A-League scoring some nice goals in the process. However, I'm not convinced he's ready to make the step up to a club looking to challenge for European football.

See how Taggart does at the World Cup, and then throw in a cheeky 3-5m bid if he performs well. I doubt Newcastle would say no to that.

5.) Hi ok what are spurs options? should mauricios future be sorted soon?

{Ed002's Note - You need the Spurs page for that.}

6.) Ed 002 are you sure about the window. I've tried to find out and the premier league website clearly says it opens on midnight of the final day of the season and closes on 31st of August unless a bank holiday.

Understand other countries may have differing restrictions but appears open

7.) Ed 002 are you sure about the window. I've tried to find out and the premier league website clearly says it opens on midnight of the final day of the season and closes on 31st of August unless a bank holiday.

Understand other countries may have differing restrictions but appears open

{Ed002's Note - Transfers cannot be processed before July 1.}

8.) 21 May 2014 19:57:30
I like Hector Moreno, but I'm not completely sure he would be good fit for the EPL. He may not be physical enough. On the other hand, if we're going for Espanol players, that seems to imply that Poch is staying.

9.) Cortese was interviewed by the BBC and stated that he would "never" come back to Saints. But he did suggest and hint that he wants to return to the premier league with a new club involved in an exciting project and to "watch this space"

10.) Villa are a good shout for cortese. Similar size club to ours, but I think his new project will have to be different. Villas academy is good but we have has a much better group over the last 5-10 years

With the inevitable of Schneiderlin leaving in the summer free transfer available could be Nigel de Jong.

Another player out of contract with tons of experience who I think could greatly improve our young players with his 110% attitude is James Milner

Would love to see us also get either Austin or Ings (is both too greedy.?)

Biggie Smalls

1.) 19 Mar 2015 10:44:00
Doubt we will go for De Jong because of his age, but I think he could do well, we already have wanyama for the holding role so would like Schneiderlin's replacement to be a bit more cute on the ball (Clasie maybe) Milner is thinking of going abroad and would love to see either austin or Ings. preferably Ings

2.) 19 Mar 2015 17:30:14
I have been hearing about this Danny Ings thing for what seems forever now . What is so special about him? If he is that good why are Burnley in the bottom three . I know it's not all his fault but why do you all think he is that good and the same thing with Austin . I personally think Austin is the best bet but no guarantees at the top level . Give Pelle a chance he will come good again we know he can we saw it for ourselves earlier in the season . If J Rod doesn't come back let's look again in the summer .

I know we would get priced out of it as he is young and English but I really think we would be the best place for Saido Berahino to grow as a player.

He is looking to leave in the summer and I think we cold offer him more first team football than any of the other teams around the European positions. and would make sense for both parties.

Money talks though so expect him to sign for a 'big team' and get limited games and not fulfil his potential

Biggie Smalls

1.) I think his attitude stinks. Drink driving charges, totally lost his head (and form) after an England call up, announced to the press that he wants to leave WBA in the summer.

Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

I doubt he'll fulfil his potential, not because of the team he'll join but because of his mentality - he's your classic English big time charlie, caught up in his own hype. He won't make much of career for himself, but he'll have lots of off-the-field headlines, sparkly jewellery and expensive tat to show for it.

J Rod can go, over rated in my opinion however we need to hold on to spider or at least get $30m + for him. He is absolutely superb and if he was already playing for a "big club" would be valued at that and some.

Although we should all be annoyed about selling our players I think we have got good prices for them all. The most frustrating one leaving for me is Chambers. At 19 could of spent another season with us and added at least $10m more onto the reported $16m. Think he would be playing more first team football with us as well.
What is the worrying thing now is that none of the money is being reinvested and we are not getting any information coming out from the board to explain the sales after Reeds previous comments. Trying to be as positive as possible but its almost making it impossible the closer it gets to the season

Why is everyone on here so up for signing Ings?

I just don't get it, he will be over priced (English) & has no prem or top flight experience. Would be far better to pursue a top class foreign international player with more experience imo. This Pelle guy doesn't fill me with confidence either and would hope for another striker to be signed

Biggie Smalls

1.) This is why England has such a bad international team

2.) Totally agree, everyone is purely banging on about ings because he's from Southampton. I mean how many times have we seen brilliant championship players that can't play the same in the prem. I'd he wasn't from Southampton no one would care

3.) Ings is a southampton lad and supporter he would wear his heart on his sleeve and give his all would be a good signing but I won't lose any sleep if we don't get him

4.) Ings has caught the eye because he's only 21 and had a fantastic season last year, at 21 he has the potential to be in our 1st team, the fact he's a Saints fan and is from Southampton is just a bonus for both him and for us

Love the new appointment, really feel it could even be an improvement on Poch. Can hopefully persuade at least Adam to stay and we can reinvest the money from Shaw.

Koeman has plenty of links to some very good players who would fit our vision as well.

Wijnaldum
Maher
Vlaar
Jean-Paul Boetius
Tonny Vilhena
Stefan de Vrij
Luc Castaignos

Obviously just listing some but I think it could be very promising. Also loved he mentioned Europe being the next step in his interview.

Biggie Smalls

1.) I think the tabloids are going to link us with every young dutch player or who has the slightest connection with Koeman in the past. Large pinch of salt being taken whilst the world cup is on. Then I think we'll see what transfers in and out happen. Might just be that Shaw wants to learn from one of the best defenders of his time and likewise Lovren. The most important thing is we now have a decent manager and are out of limbo. Onwards and upwards

2.) I do hope we can keep to our english tradition of players - Understand the need for more depth and some foreign players can do that for us. But don't want to completely cut out the english talent we already have. (i. e. JWP, Chambers) I do expect some foreign players to come in but the main point of Keomans appointment I bet was to carry on producing high quality youngsters.

3.) I predict a big season for jwp

4.) Smirky I'm right with you on that. I think he's going to be one of our biggest assets come the end of the season.

5.) Yep and poch can keep his mits off him

Clyne's a London lad who loves it down south. He won't be heading anywhere other then a London club.

Chelsea (the only London team better then Saints) wouldn't by him when they have Ivanovic and Azpilicueta
