Let's stop mucking around and get rojo signed ASAP. Would also like to see the central defender from Celtic also for extra cover. Jos simply not good enough for premier league.
1.) Van dijk would walk straight in our team. He wouldn't be cover

Saints have valued Rojo at £10m. Sporting CP and his agent are demanding £16m. We have said take it or leave it, as for a defender with 2 years left on his contract, having previously been bought for £3.5m, is not worth £8m a year. So now the agent is punting Rojo around for a better deal. It may come to it that they come back to us, but Saints may say no we gave you the offer and you did not take it. We do not have the budget to flutter £16m on a defender, and neither should we have to spend that amount. Van Dijk may be more willing to go for £10m but at the moment nothing further has been mentioned about him moving.
4.) Also one roumour is a double signing of Rojo and Younes Belhanda!
God I really hope we get some movement soon! would love to be amazed and surprised by southampton bringing some quality players in that our not in the media radar
Dont see it happening though. I know every one says be patient but worrying about signings, especially why this time last week RK was hoping to have a few signings wrapped up by the weekend!

6.) Why would we spend 16 million on a full back when we don't have a centre half. People have said he can play as a CB but don't we need a proper top quality CB who plays in that position week in week out.

How many more times do people need to be told? Tojo is a centre back who can cover at LB. he is not a LB. our LBs for this season are Bertrand & Tarrgett.
8.) I have said it a lot of times now, Rojo was primarily used as a CB for Sporting CP, you can check their match line ups if you like, he can also play LB and did a very good job for Argentina there but is primarily a CB

Let's stop mucking around adding the odd million to bids. Offer spuds 15m for Townsend if they reject walk. Get clasie, Redmond a centre back an possibly a striker - can see cerci joining us. All the time we waste adding a million to a rejected offer let's other people step in. Sort it out!!

that is at least 4 million more than he s worth
could get redmond plus another for that money

Should of kept chambers and put in as cb looks so composed
1.) Hard to keep a player who wants to go, especially if you're getting 16m for him - how many other cb/rb's have gone for that?

So why don't saints but remy I think 8 million was the release clause - cheap for a proven goal scorer?
1.) QPR are paying him about £100k per week, there is no chance Southampton will be matching that, even Liverpool were uncertain about his wage demands.
2.) If he failed a medical at Liverpool what makes you think he'll pass one here?
3.) It would be a signing I would love, However his wage demands would be astronomical.
Spuds won't let Townsend go and if they do they will use it to get spider. We have enough in midfield with victor and cork . If we could swap and get the 10 million also makes good sense
Maybe not so much of a back up at the moment as we don't have any centre backs. If rojo came possibly rojo and fonte if we play a back 3 rojo fonte and Virgil although vlar would be quality.
