Let's hope this doesn't mean Jay Rod is on his way out, we all know Poch wants him at Spurs.
If we are willing to pay 12 for Long how much is Jay and Morgan valued at. I think they have got to be worth 25 to 30 mil each. Hope they both stay!!

Err no, it means Jay Rod will be unfit to play for months yet, and we need someone to cover that situation. Why does everything have to be viewed so negatively?

Hi Eds a question for you guys, reading on the Arsenal page that you belive we are being asset stripped with all our best talent being sold and not all the money being reinvested.
What do you think the clubs plans are, do you think the owner is getting ready to sell or do you think she is looking forward to a relagation battle? can't see the manager being too happy with the situation do you think they lied to him when they appointed him and what's the chances of him moving on?
Thanks in advance and we won't give you boys any greif as youve been proved right when you tried warning us earlier.

Richie121

{Ed001's Note - it is not really an asset strip as such. They don't want to get rid of all the talent, they just want to run on an even keel. Rather than spending 3 years getting the club back into the black, they are doing it one go this summer.

My opinion, and it is just an opinion, is that they would like to sell once they clear the debt. They won't want to asset strip as that would destroy the sale value. They are, imo, gambling that Koeman will keep you in the Prem on a reduced budget and they can then sell at a higher price.

I do expect a proportion of the sales to be reinvested, but nothing like all of it.}

1.) Thanks Eds01, let's hope the gamble pays off

In boards interest to keep quiet whilst papers want to play up every whisper ans stir stories. How can we know what's really happening? Need some faith. Buying players hardly like nipping down Aldi. more like buying house. Masses to check, competing buyers but purchase has go gel with others and can turn buyer down! Think this a quick process to do right?Lets see when window closes.

Hi Eds, any news on Gaston Ramirez a while back it was said there was interest from Italy. Thanks in advance

Richie121

1.) I imagine the state is the same as before. Ed's mentioned interest from one or two Italian sides. Possible they may have placed bids but I somewhat doubt we will have accepted any offers for him because it's far from likely he'd be being sold for a profit.

2.) I think Gaston could be like a new signing if played. I saw a post on a Liverpool site moaning that Lallana was not as good as others in the Saints team and had stats.
Gaston was the best in many of the measures although obviously lacked games, get him playing.

Gaston played in his favoured position could be excellent. The few times he has been rather than out wide he has really got crosses and shots in

I love to check on this site daily but find it disappointing that us the Saints fans have driven away the only real and convincing input and that being the Eds. As much as I ilke to read "my mate told me", " I've got it on a good source". i'm now board of reading it. Please come back eds and give us any info you have on the Saints Pls Pls Pls Pls!!!!

Richie121

{Ed001's Note - it is best we stay away while our info is only on players leaving. As soon as we get something defo to share on players incoming, then maybe, as we can at least soften the bad news and lower the abuse levels. Only it does get a bit much having to delete some truly vile posts. It gets like it on every site when a bad time appears after a good run. People don't want to accept the bad things after such a great run of good news. Once people come to accept that the Markus era is over and now the club will be living within its means, they will calm down a bit I am sure. It will help that now the club will be looking to buy a few players to bolster the squad. I just hope no one here really expects the club to spend as much as they think was received in transfer fees, as large percentages are lost in all the additional costs surrounding them. Not just sell on fees, but agent/s' fees, solicitors' fees, paying up contracts, cuts to go to the player who left (though I believe that Ricky Lambert waived his right to a percentage of his contract as he was so keen to play for the team he supports, I do need to check that to be 100% sure though), plus any sell ons etc.}

1.) Thanks Eds01

2.) Are we to take it more bad news to come then? That's saddening.

3.) Such a good insight ed, most real football fans understand that people can't be right all the time. This is a rumour site and as said in this good constructive post your insight is valuable. Whatever the amount spent whoever stays or goes most of us are true saints fans who will support the club and respect posts regardless.

Do you not think that should be down to the manager who plays?
