Southampton have made contact with Feyenoord regarding Graziano Pellè!

Rocket

1.) This guy's behaviour would make Osvaldo look like a Nun!

2.) Imagine them two upfront

3.) Is this true ED? Are we after 2 strikers? ROCKET do u think there could be a double announcement this week?

4.) 09 Jun 2014 10:50:42
Stevo98 leave it out, poor Ed I'm sure will comment if he has something to add, you don't have to keep nagging and asking same question like a desperate kid who needs reassurance.

5.) Is there any interest in quincy Promes god little player could be vry useful for saints

6.) Sorry I just want the situation sorted. Hi rocket could we see a double announcement? His much would he be?

7.) Its a bit to early to say really mate, but that's not currently the plan.

Im still fully expecting Koeman to be announced by Friday at the latest and I think the feeling is, that this appointment will go someway towards winning back the fans. I think'll they'll want to announce it seperate and make it more special.

As far as Pelle goes, its still at an early stage so could go either way.

I wouldn't get your hopes hinged on Pelle. They've got some good targets lined up & i'm sure Koeman will have his own to add to the shortlist.

8.) Not really sure on cost as its not been agreed. I believe they're expecting about €8m

9.) Ok thanks rocket, how many strikers do you think we're get in? Who are the other targets? How many years is koemans contract? So you garauntee he will be our new manager this week ROCKET?

10.) Steve leave it out and chill out. You ask a million questions a time chill boy.

11.) Stevo98. take a chill pill with the questions buddy.

12.) No doubt about it mate, its been a lock for at least a week.

We're looking for 4 players + 1 replacement per first teamer that leaves.

So if Shaw & Lallana do go, we'll want 6. Hope that makes sense?

2 of which will definately be strikers.

13.) Ok sorry for mass questions, sounds positive, hope your right, anything on kit? Hope we get koeman and buy 5 decent players Coyr and they're prolific

14.) Hi ROcket is your source reliable? Sorry for mass questions, anything on the kit? Which positions are we looking at?

15.) I have heard rumours Nike could be the next kit manufacturer, which could look good for saints with veho on it aswell. I don't think they'll unveil the new kits too soon, maybe instead late June when things have settled a bit at the club.

16.) ^can't announce new kits until after july 1st as that's when aap3's contract expires and veho's starts

17.) So rocket is koeman still the man? Should he be confirmed soon?

18.) Anything ROCKET? Sorry for mass questions, I just want koeman appointed. Should he still be appointed this week?

19.) Its all still on mate, as I said. End of the week

20.) 100% rocket? Is your source reliable? Anymore on pelle?

21.) Koemans on holiday until Sunday, so rocket do u think it should be announced this week? I hope it's him and not anyone else. Anymore on pelle?

22.) Danny Ings?

23.) Rocket? Will koeman still be our boss

24.) Realised your wrong? ROcket? I hope he joins badly

Saints negotiating with Torino to sell Gaston!

Rocket

1.) Please keep him or get rafa silva

2.) I don't think we're getting rafa silver anymore, I think mopo was looking at him

3.) I'd like to keep him, if he stay fit and gets a run in the team he could be great for us

4.) Rafa Silva is one of the players our scouting team is monitoring, whether or not we go in for a formal approach will depend on the new manager and if Rafa is the sort of player he wants in the side.

No offer has been accepted for Gaston but clubs are interested in him. He will not be sold prior to the appointment of a new manager (unless obviously a ridiculous offer comes in).

5.) Behave. Forgetting Lallana and the rumours involving him, we were already looking to strengthen that area in midfield as we sold Puncheon. If Lallana is go to (Big team) then Ramirez will not be allowed to leave. If they both left, imagine our midfield. Go home. Back to the drawing board for you chap!

6.) 04 Jun 2014 11:11:49
I wouldn't be too worried about losing Lallana chaps. Take a look at Rafa Silva from Braga, just 20 in the Portugal squad, would be an exciting replacement. William Carvalho, although pricey, ought to be on Saints radar as well.If we sell LALLANA and SHAW for 30 m apiece, both the Portuguese players would be doable.Live and rejoice guys we could be getting the better of any deal, i'd be quite happy if both the Portuguese came and joined Saints they d have Fonte to help them settle in. Here s hoping.

Looking bad for saints according to adam blackmores twitter

Players wanting to leave. Not because board want to sell but because they are unhappy.

Rickie, Lallana & Lovren all expected to sign for liverpool

Shaw to UTD is 95% done

He hinted that Spiderman, Jay Rod & Osvaldo could also be on they're way. The latter being fairly obvious.

Yakin's got another job!

Im starting to lose the will to live.

Somebody please tell me we're getting frank de boer & he's going to sign messi!

Rocket

1.) Wouldn't believe it, Blackman is as clueless as you or I 99% of the time. Even local Journos sell more with negative stories than positive

2.) 31 May 2014 20:05:02
LOL. Please somebody wake up and smell the coffee. Lol

3.) Wouldnt be surprised I posted a while ago that kl had not paid the players/staff the bonus they were entitled to finishing 8th in epl which has infuriated poch and players and led up to this

4.) It is fair to say that all saints fans are very disgruntled right now far from exiting times.

Saints still aiming to announce Koeman on Friday

Info I have this morning is that its a 3 year contract!

There is a feeling within the club that there is a small chance they may have to hold of the announcement until Monday. But they are relaxed about the situation

Rocket

1.) What about Mancini?

2.) 11 Jun 2014 12:53:16
dont think its Koeman somehow its taken way too long

3.) Could see the delay if they are trying to bring a Fey player with him & start the WC so no players will be actively negotiating to leave, but wouldn't Saints want to have 2 separate announcements rather than one and in answering my own question re Mancini. hasn't done much with 'youth' has he? Les Reed says this is a big criteria for the candidate.

4.) 11 Jun 2014 19:27:50
West Brom have been without a manager for longer than us. Don't think it been 'way too long' for Koeman

Interview with Les Reed set to hit saints youtube channel anytime now. Conducted Jim Lucas (check him out on twitter)

Set to discuss a fair bit about what's going on behind the scenes

Rocket

1.) 10 Jun 2014 21:25:07
Interesting that his "fair bit about what's going on behind the scenes" is a long way away from what you have been implying for the last few weeks, Rocket!
Now, I'm not full of confidence in the guy but neither do I see any reason for him to tell porkies-he could just avoid a particular subject. So, for the moment, I will go with his version which at least has logic and financial sense to back up real behind the scenes information.

2.) Good post Martin, although rocket had also been as much right as he is wrong. I have heard many stories from within at Mary's direct from the youth set up, some of it is happens and some doesn't for a catalogue of reasons. I can tell you that the truth has been bent slightly by the current regime on more than one occasion such as being deep into the process of appointing a high calibre manager when talks / contact had not been made.

3.) Les Reed's interview gives me confidence that we are in safe hands. I still feel we will lose Adam and Luke, who no doubt are the unsettled players that he refers to. However, Les confirms that revenues from player sales will be reinvested in the team in order to improve the depth and strength of the squad. Our results fell away when we had injuries last year, a pledge of improved squad depth is therefore welcome news. Exciting times ahead.

4.) 11 Jun 2014 07:36:15
I just hope we are not disappointed in his final choice we need somebody to convince Adam and Luke to stay. nothing but a big wheel will do! or another Poch.

5.) If Koeman isn't the man most of us are now expecting to be announced as our new manager soon, then I feel we are going to get Neil Lennon. Certainly no ones first choice, but he has the experience of Europe albeit a rather unsuccessful one, and this would appear to be an aspect Saints are very much eager to attain from the new manager.

I thought Les Reed did his best to explain the situation the club are currently working within. I don't see how more open they can be, particularly in terms of who their player targets are. One thought that did strike me during the interview is would Pochettino have had to sign some sort of agreement to Saints that he would not share with Tottenham the target players Saints have shortlisted when he left? Any insight on that EDs?

6.) Ah don't say that SaintsFan29! Lennon would be a big step down from Pochettino IMO

09 Jun 2014 07:10:24
The feeling within the club is that Lallana will not be leaving this summer. Obviously this could all change but Saints & Koemans plans currently involve Adam.

The situation with Shaw is strange. He is willing to stay but also wants to move to Utd. The situation is relaxed as saints feel in control of the situation & will accept a bid high enough but if they don't get the right price, they won't sell. Luke is relaxed too, his feeling is that if a move doesn't happen this summer it most probably will next.

Rocket

1.) 09 Jun 2014 10:17:00
You have a good reliabe ource for this info Rocket mate, seems very plausible and positive

2.) Thanks for the info, similar to what I have been told. two points though.

shaw - I believe 30 million with MT coming through and potentially better is very good business (IMO).

Lallana - my source has said he is so intent on moving to Liverpool that before the would cup was becomming a negative effect on the other players mindset, again at 30 million I wouldn't mind if it meant Koeman had more money to spend.

3.) 09 Jun 2014 14:44:07
Have to say I agree. I was told Lallana had been quite vocal in wanting the move. I would rather Shaw went and kept Lallana. But. Its a lot of money for the two players and could really help bring in some proven players whilst allowing us to push the youngsters

Interresting note from saints last meeting with Koeman

He wants to continue the tradition of developing young home grown players from the academy. But one player he has expressed interest in looking at is Jack Rodwell.

Saints tried to sign Jack a few years back before he went to city so he has been on our radar for a while.

The interresting part though is that he see's him a great centre back partner for lovren. Now Koeman is known for playing out from the back & it has been suggested over the years that Rodwell will end up in that position.

Theres no word yet if this deal is possible but it is one of many options they are exploring.

Would also make sense as Fonte's in the dog house, so will most likely be on his way out.

Rocket

1.) What's he in the dog house for rocket?i think we could get Rodwell he can't be happy at city but won't his wages be massive?

2.) What's Fonte done? Thrown his toys as his contract is up in 12 months?

3.) Fonte is still in the doghouse from his part in the Osvaldo stuff

04 Jun 2014 20:37:42
Koeman a done deal! May even be announced tonight

Rocket

1.) Hi rocket, my contact from within knows nothing. Not doubting u of course.

2.) 05 Jun 2014 02:04:06
Id be very surprised of Koeman is appointed , I question whether the club would have been able to satisfy him as to the retention of the current squad or the provision of an adequate transfer budget. All the signs so far suggest that these issues have been the cause of all the disruption, with both Cortese and Poch leaving as a result. Sad days for us saints fans. Why would we be linked with Magath at this stage if Koeman was going to be appointed? doesn't add up. Magath would be a better prospect for a tight-fisted board, he will work with whatever scraps you throw him , so long as you pay his wages. i'm really pissed off with KL, Reed and Krueger.Dont trust any of them.

3.) Montescristosaint, the board have said they want to push on for European football and the rumour is that the new manager will have a 50m budget to work with so I don't think a lack of funds or ambition is the issue

4.) Poch and Cortese didn't leave over ambition, Cortese left over a control issue, he was unhappy with Leibherr wanting to get more in terms of control over the club she owned so he left. As for Pochettino, he clearly wanted the larger amount of money and the 'bigger' club.

This board seems to have ambitions, but it is unclear exactly what they plan to do to achieve them. But a supposed large transfer budget is going to be available for the new manager and any player sales will just add to that figure. So it doesn't seem, at least in the short term, that this board is looking to cash in.

5.) 05 Jun 2014 15:19:31
I'm still unsure about the future. I'm most definitely not a doom and gloom merchant but the board have a lot to prove over the next few weeks. I really do think and hope we are getting the manager sorted out soon.
I think, looking at Koemans history he shows potential of being a fantastic manager and I cannot see why he wouldn't come to us. Especially if the board are giving out as much money as has been suggested.
I would have thought we would be looking to stay in the premiership rather than pushing inwards. At least for the next year or two.

Bit harsh. that's not exactly what Ed002 said. When asked if saints were still interrested in Astori, he replied that he didn't know if he was a steve bruce target. And he did say koeman was going to galatassary.

Getting a bit bored of some of the attitudes of some of the editors on this page
