Koeman just tweeted from Turkey, could that mean he's there discussing the Galatasaray job?

SaintTom

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts.}

1.) Often browse this site, only just registered, eds information normally spot on. if it is Steve Bruce not the worse manager we could have

2.) I googled koeman a few hours ago, there was an article saying how 'koeman would get over his disappointment on losing out on the saints job to steve Bruce, by holding talks with galatasaray. Although he isn't the only candidate. '
I personally can't see Bruce leaving, he has built a good team and I was a big admirer of hull city last year. I think we could do worse than Bruce. But I still feel koeman is in the running

3.) Ok I am completely lost if we are going to go with Bruce, nothing against him or hull but we'll he jumps ship whenever he can and doesn't play a style of footy that suits "the southampton way" plus hasn't won as manger what reed says are import at for new manager. But does reed (reading between the line means player /manager has won?) I think Koeman still leads the from the little info I can get out of people, other name mentioned is Lennon though again I'm not sure I'm with that one. Oh well let's wait and see and who knows they might well pull a top manager out of the bag yet.

4.) Datca in turkey where he tweeted from is on the other side of turkey to galatasary In Istanbul and datca is a holiday resort so hope he just on holiday but was feeling confident now starting to worry

5.) Heard he was just on holiday this week there

{Ed002's Note - Galatasaray have spoken with him.}

6.) 13 Jun 2014 10:46:07
Doubt he would leave feyenoord for Galatasary unless he didn't get the saints job. Well known he wants to manage in the premier league

7.) I would be shocked if Galatasaray haven't spoke to him. That doesn't mean he is going there though. Pros and cons. Galatasaray have europe but are in a poor league. We haven't got europe but are in one of the best leagues in the world. Hopefully he will join us. if he doesn't then there are other good candidates out there. Poch was a relatively unknown before he joined us. Wouldn't be surprised if we appointed someone similar.

8.) Hope we get koeman and it's announced on Monday Coyr

I've tried to be positive until now but this is honestly becoming beyond a joke. If Morgan and J-Rod go I might actually cry, that'll be all our star performers of last year gone. I hope Koeman has some amazing signings lined up or we're in for a tough season.

It's nice to see that Koeman genuinely wants to be at the club and isn't just looking to better himself by coming here, he has a great record and a philosophy that matches ours, a great choice in my eyes

I know its a small point but I actually liked it when he said he was proud to be managing the Saints rather than Southampton.
Be interesting to see what happens over the next month or so. Looking at what the chairman said about reinvesting funds, it does make you wonder how much we do have.
If I'm honest, I wouldn't be devastated if Shaw went as Targetts coming through and the money rumoured could be amazing. If its true about Lallana making waves and upsetting people to get the move then bye bye. If he doesn't want to play for us then I don't want him. Use the money for people who do and will give their all for us.
Lovren is the one I think we would miss the most.
Certainly some exciting times ahead.

2.) Yes! And without hearing the word "project" 10 times

3.) For me if we can get 60 million for shaw and lallana it's good business. Already have a left back who has more potential

4.) I agree, he seems really excited to be here and has signed a 3 year deal which is great! Exciting few months ahead!

Thank you Sir Rickie for everything you've done for us; without you we'd never be where we are now. It's shame you had to go but you deserve this chance at your boyhood team so no hard feelings. This further stresses our need to sign a top class striker. We struggled to score goals last year anyway, let alone with one of our top goal scorers now gone. I can't see Osvaldo coming back now unless the new manager can channel his anger into more goals like the one against City but I'm not sure that's really possible as I've heard he's even been causing problems in Juve so a top class striker is certainly needed. I think Lukaku would be perfect but he'd also be very expensive, Bony could also be decent but he's only had one good season so it could be a bit of a risk.

ssn suggesting that spurs do not plan to put any bids in for Lallana so maybe Poch does have a bit of respect and dignity after all! Also heard that the board are refusing to even consider selling Adam until after the World Cup although the board have hardly given the impression that they're prepared to dig their heels in over transfers and the Poch situation.

Hasn't Grenier sustained a few longish term injuries over the last few seasons? We need consistency in our team and having a player who would be bought for the first team but who only plays half the season isn't really ideal

Hernandez would be a great signing, we've been lacking pace up front all of last season and Hernandez brings pace in abundance

Anyone else seen the video of him getting angry after a late equaliser? Good be a bit of an Osvaldo

In 6/7 years he'll be 32/33, I think he'll be past his best years by then

Borini would be decent I think, he showed promise for Sunderland last season and with the right service maybe he could become the player that he has the potential to be, that's if we're talking about an exchange for Lambert. In terms of a replacement for him from elsewhere someone like Lukaku or Bony would be good seeing as they're more than likely going to be a loan striker with the 4-2-3-1 being as prominent as it is, they need to have a bit of physical strength about them and they have that in abundance
