Ralph Krueger and Les Reed said to judge the squad on September 1st, and I have to say personally I am impressed with the acquisitions and the squad looks good.
1.) This squad looks very good to me, as does the manager. Well done all of you who helped put this team together, including Les. let's all pull together and go for it!

Tuttosport are reporting that we have joined the race for Torino and Italy winger Alessio Cerci.
Valued at 15-20 million euros he would brin the pace and creativity we are lacking on the right hand side of our attack.

2.) Why is it that we can all see what's needed, and know that it has to be done NOW, but they don't seem to be able to get out of first gear!
3.) Makes me laugh. notice how fast and how much over the top we paid for long. confused as. why can't we do this with someone like cerci.

After today's signings we only need another CB and RW

1.) Couldn't agree more. CB - Vlaar/Shawcross RB - Byram RW - Lens/Berardi/Biabiany/Depay
2.) Rw for me would have to be biabiany or Lennon
3.) Would love to see lens here. And he wants to leave kiev so we could snap him up if we went in for him
4.) I'm not 100% sure on Vlaar, I'd much rather Shawcross, then Byram would be quality and I'd love Redmond at Saints too, then we'd have a really solid English core to the team, which I think quite important
5.) Agree we need to have some English talent, otherwise it will be Orange stripes next year!

Below is how I see our team lining up if we can complete the Rojo & Forster deals.
Need a few more for squad depth and I would like to se us sell some players that aren't needed e.g Hooiveld, Sharp etc.

I think the biggest issue here is the monopoly effect of not spending quick enough, newcastle - 4 players, liverpool - 4 players 2 almost complete. By not bringing in players to strengthen we have weakened our own position in regards to holding onto our better players why does it take the SFC board twice as long to complete a deal as the next team? By all means sell but buy in and improve the team; this is what's really frustrating most fans. Furthermore something else that I am disliking is the lack of an english core to our team, last year we had the most english players in our starting eleven, this year we at a push may have three or four.
Chadli was one if the few who actually played well for spurs last year. I wouldn't mind money + chadli as lond as we replace schneiderlin with someone like clasie or dembele.

Very adept at picking the ball up from deep and linking the midfield with attack. Similar style to wild here but with more pace/power.
I really hope this is not true, savic is not in my opinion a good option. I would rather see money invested in players like rudiger-stuttgard, mendes-marseille, utmitti-lyon.
You have answered your own question, nobody really knows what's happening. Until the board come out and honestly explain why, everything is just speculation. I for one would like to think some money will be reinvested and that the sale of the players is simply in the intrest of the clubs future.

could'nt agree more, while we need to bring in players this summer, the last thing I want is to loose the british core to our team, players like redmond, lascelles, wickham will be players we can invest in, an improve.

I feel we may be after some wide players with attacking ability as this is a clear tactic used by koeman at previous clubs, eg. feyenoord, valencia etc.

Stating the cost of the spurs squad isn't a valid reason for loosing game that should have been won, I would say I am loyal and knowledgable supporter, definitely not one to complain and be negative; but todays loss was totally avoidable. If any supporter can see the mistakes, the manager should as well.
Fonte isn't injured, he made bench and passed a fitness test therefore could have atleast played 60 mins. As for Targett he is a consistant performer for the u21's and is good enough for england u19's. chambers plays u19 and is good enough why should he not be. only issue is size with him and throwing him in at the deep end. I would still play him over fox but i'm not the manager. The issue is that any fan could have said we would ship goals as sson as we looked at the team sheet, f we can't pick a team that's strong enough then that's down to cortese.
