Assuming Saints don't have a fat wedge of cash to spend in the summer and will need to wheel and deal a bit, here's a few interesting frees that could possibly improve the squad.

GK: Kaspar Schmeichel (27); Lukasz Fabianksi (28); Heurelho Gomes (33); Timo Hildebrand (35); Carlos Kameni (30)

Defence: Billy Jones (27); Dedryck Boyata (23); Joleon Lescott (31); Mateo Musacchio (23); Alex (31)

Midfield: Jack Colback (24); Marc Albrighton (24); Abdul Razak (21); Sebastian Rode (23); Aaron Hunt (27); Manuel Fernandes (28)

Forward: Niklas Bendtner (26); Jeremy Menez (26); Bafetimbi Gomis (28); Jimmy Briand (28); Hugo Almeida (29)

I like the idea of Colback--especially if Cork does go (still don't think he will). He seems like one of those hard working players who would be great for depth in the midfield. Hunt is a great player. Not really excited about any of those strikers, especially not once you think what they will cost, either in transfer fees or wages. Definitely no on Bendtner!

I think it's credit to how good we have been this season that so many of our players have been linked with moves away, I'm pretty sure most of our team has been at the mo and ofcourse the manager. I don't think we should be worried about losing our stars, as if they wanted to leave there were a lot of clubs showing interest in them last season, we all know we have no need to sell, so no one will leave unless the player has great desire to leave, which I doubt many of them do. I think the only transfers out of the team will be people like Fox, Hoiveld, Sharp, Forte, Guly (as his contract expires) and obviously Osvaldo is gunna have to leave. Also I think we may be able to do even better next year, as we aren't far of Spurs at the moment anyway (in terms of quality, not points) and Everton are very reliant of their loan starts and I doubt Lukaku and Deulefaleu will sign permanently with them, Barry might, but they will be missing those players next season, so if we continue to build and sign 2-3 quality players (a GK and CB is priority) and keep bringing the kids through, I can't see why we can't go on to finish top 6 next season. On another note, I hope Gaston starts playing more due to Jay's injury as he has the killer pass that can really open a team up as he showed against Newcastle and Norwich, he's impressed me when he plays and he seems more like he's settled and part of the team now, if you see the celebrations and training photos, so I hope he gets a chance
