Good result and defensive performance from Southampton today. Lets hope they can keep this up and for a few new signings to improve the squad to ensure survival. COYS!
A very dubious penalty aha but we've had hardly any luck from refs this season, as Adkin's said we where due a break
Watched the Aston villa - saints game live and we were in complete control until the last 15 mins. However the match of the day highlights look like we were lucky to get a point. Lastly what was linkers problem with the penalty? Seen much worst from the top six teams but I guess that is European flair.
It's the media spin. They like to criticise where possible, especially with a team like Southampton where the media struggle to get the information they want. Where as, as was pointed out by Adkins, Rodriguez didn't dive. Clearly if you look at the footage what has happened is Rodriguez has attempted to pull his foot away from the tackle and been unable to keep balance as a result.
Can't see what the fuss is re Rodriguez-according to the ref. the penalty was given for the "foul" by the GK!
As someone said. God forbid awful Southampton for trying to get a penalty when every one of the top teams does it week in week out.
It's about flipping time the dice fell in saints favour. For once
