If Southampton are forced into selling Luke Shaw, we will look to Nicolai Boilesen of Ajax.

In other news we're picking up two youth products, Aidan Kelly and Peter Batten from Bury and Brighton respectively.

Forced into selling Shaw? Southampton are not in a position of being 'forced' to sell anyone. Shaw wants to stay and we easily have the cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

^we could easily be forced into selling shaw. Stop getting up yourself about southampton. We are rich, yes, but we're not invincible and we are currently still a bottom half club.

I don't think we will sell Shaw, Just being realistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can we make any judgements on what we are if we've only had one season in the premier league so far

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't be forced till he is in his last year of his contract, he has 2 years left currently

Agree0 Disagree0

Were still a bottom half club? yes we finished there, but if you take out the 1st month of last season. we would have finished in the top half.
thats where we will be next season. 9th or higher

Agree0 Disagree0

If Shaw wants to leave, then the club will be forced to sell.

Get real. If Man U or Arsenal or Chelsea want him, he will want to go.

Ignore what he has said. all players say that sort of thing

Agree0 Disagree0

^wishful thinking. Until we are actually in the top half it's personic to make assumptions that we deserve that credit.

You're even annoying me know, have some humility. There are a lot of very competitive teams in the premiership.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not going to be 'forced' to sell though. We have money, and don't really need more of it to spend, plus Shaw is happy here and we have a few years left on his contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes you are a bottom half club, you can't take out the first month i'm afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly. Bear in mind our first month included 3 of the too five team fixtures. Most premier leage teams would finish top half if they could avoid man city, Manchester United and arsenal in a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well chelsea made a 4 million bid last summer for shaw and look what happened so really all these comments about he would want to leave if chelsea wanted him are stupid

Agree0 Disagree0

"If Shaw wants to leave"

Well, he doesn't, so why try and manufacture points to make an argument?

" If Messi fell in love with the New Forest, he would just have to play at Saints. " Pretty silly way to banter IMHO.

Saint Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster who said about missing out the first month I presume was talking about our poor defending not the fact we played a couple big teams

Agree0 Disagree0

^No one said he is going to leave. Just asking our fellow supporters to stop being so big-headed and ignorant. Saying we are under no threat of him leaving is just embarrassing, we're not a big fish in the prem yet. Also assuming we are a top half club based on selectively omitting the bit of the season where we played united/city/arsenal is just absurd. It's becoming embarrassing.

First we were linked with Lamela. Then Pirlo. Then Nani. Now we are saying there is no risk of losing Shaw because we are 'such a great, big, rich club'. Saints fan-base used to be a humble, respectful, grounded set of people. Now it's just full of childish plastics getting big headed and chatting utter nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

You didn't really think that the pirlo rumour was serious did you lol

Agree0 Disagree0

From what am reading there is one troll and a one very pessimistic saints fan on this post. Along with the normal fans. What an earth is this troll going to do when Shaw signs his contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

" No one said he is going to leave"-Playing with semantics.

The phrase was "if Shaw wants to leave"

Of course that sort of fiction will gain a reaction and to justify it by saying Saints supporters are stating "no risk of losing Shaw" is childish. All supporters know there is always a risk of losing ANY player-will Ronaldo stay, will Bale stay, how about Rooney and Suarez?

Don't see why some people need to start posting misinformation to justify their statements. If they can't be justified on facts better to leave it alone.

Saint Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope Shaw doesn't leave and I personally don't think it would be good for his personal development if he did. I can't see him getting first team football at one of the bigger clubs whereas he will get 30+ games here. I've been a Saints fan all my life and I have never seen Saints fans getting so arrogant about being a 'big club'. We're not a big club, we're a relatively small club that has always punched well above its weight. This isn't a bad thing and it makes me proud that we have but for fans to come on here saying nobody can take Shaw off us and that we'll be in Europe next season are crazy! it will take years to get into Europe if we in fact ever manage it. I'm all for being optimistic but be realistic at the same time. It makes all Saints fans sound stupid when people come out with these comments. ChrisSFC1

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaw to leave before season starts, OT beckons

Agree0 Disagree0

Well ChrisSFC1, what a strange post! How would any Saints fan post a comment that we will be in Europe next season? To qualify for Europe next season, you have to have made the qualification achievement LAST SEASON, and Saints haven't-end of! (Every Saints fan knows this. )

It's not rocket science you know, especially for "a Saints fan all my life"! If you are going to attempt to infiltrate, make it a little more accurate.

All this tripe about how we are going to announce signings Monday and Tuesday and where are they? Frustating how closed the doors are when it comes to Southamptons transfer talks, come on Cortese!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Closed doors on incoming transfers means cheaper signings if other clubs do not compete.

Who would you rather have Ince or Sinclair? Probably cost similar amounts. Both English. Sinclair Slightly older. TBH I'm undecided but Sinclair would just edge it with his prem experience

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ince. Every day of the week! Sinclair just about peaking IMO, Ince very promising talent and could be exciting future England prospect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom ince
he s young but he is
going to be a top
player as he gets older

Agree0 Disagree0

Ince would be better, younger and hungrier. Probably lower wage cost and I think has slightly more technical ability as well as a huge room for improvement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sinclair, prem experience and he's clas and would be cheaper, ince is unproven in the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

If Sinclair is so good why couldn't he get games at City? I think he's the sort of player who needs to be playing on regular basis to get the best out of him, like he did at Swansea. Ince maybe untried in the prem. but anyone can see the boy will make it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Both real quality players and i'd like to have either in a saints shirt but right now i'd go for sinclaire because he was awsome before going to city and they have let him go off the boil so I reckon he would relish the chance of first team football and the chance to show city the shouldn't have let him rot on the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Irrelevant question as Ince is destined for a top half club

Agree0 Disagree0

Ince will make it?
thats why liverpool sold him then

Agree0 Disagree0

Like most top clubs Liverpool aren't willing to be patient. It's all about success now. and look how much money they have wasted.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Ince is going to go to a decent prem side where he get guaranteed game time. We are a decent club with high ambitions but doubt we could guarantee him starting every game so because of that and that only, this might be irrelevant.

apparently we are signing about 200 players according to all the rumours.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How we roll mate, we just want everyone :p

EastSaint (was ludacrusS)

Agree0 Disagree0

Name them?

.

Oh, you can't?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's more than 200, and we do need the players for the reserves and such.

Agree0 Disagree0

The troll strikes again

Agree0 Disagree0

Because every rumour you have ever read comes to fruition does it? no it does not

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't understand why anyone would visit a RUMOUR site and then complain about the RUMOURS!
WTF!
