Why don't we sell the whole team to Liverpool as they can't seem to get their own team to gel. Lambert upfront, Lallana and Lovren is the spine of Saints team - maybe rogers can't gel a team together so he picks on the best out there! or maybe we should just rename Liverpool Southampton!

Lovren's not going to Spurs as the rumoured transfer request was stating that he wanted champions league football next year which Spurs don't have.

Not my first choice if true but if not going to be koeman then he's better than bruce!

It's Steve Bruce according to the James Bond of Editors.

The James Bond of Editors? What are you implying about Ed there? He can drink as many martinis as he likes without getting drunk? (Is this true Ed?)

{Ed001's Note - only in his dreams. In actuality the only thing Bond about him is the 007 moniker on his Ed number, well other than being born on the same day as Roger Moore.}
I imagine he writes his replies with a raised eyebrow - that's all!

Who do we all reckon will break through next season? I definetly think Taggert will play more, regardless if Shaw leaves or not, he'll act as cover at LB, maybe we'll see Turnball or Stephens at CB? At least at a few cup matches and as we lack attacking players at the moment, it's a great opportunity for McQueen, Sinclair, Rowe and Isgrove to see if they can step up to the mark, obviously we can expect to see more from Reed and Gallagher as they've both been involved a lot from the bench, also think JWP will play a bigger role next year, then beneath that we have Seager, Sims, Hesketh, Barnes and Debayo, who does everyone reckon will break through? Point is if funds are reinvested even if we do sell we have a lot of potential developing in our side who won't leave this summer, we have been described as a conveyor belt of talent for a long time, I will be gutted if we lose certain key players, but as Le Tis tweeted (something like this anyway) one man leaving is anothers opportunity, and that he never got the chance until we sold someone then he became the legend he is anyway hopwfully Koeman will come in and convince them all to stay, but if not reinvest it in quality players, COYR!

Gaston could do with breaking through next season!

Forgot to mention Gaston, yh I agree! I reckon if he gets a run of games in the first team and stays fit he could be great for us

Anyone heard any more on the Koeman situation? There's a lot of contrasting rumours floating around currently. Rocket, is an announcement still likely to happen before the weekend or should we expect further delays taking us into next week?

This isn't anti Lovren as I think we were lucky to get him and he was great all season, just an observation. He left OL as he felt he was being victimised by referees. He had started to get a reputation and was, he felt, being unjustly booked for every tackle and was getting a lot of red cards.
Last season for Saints, I think he got away with at least 3 or maybe 4 tackles that went unpunished that could or should have been penalties that would have cost us points.
As I said - just an observation.

Name a defender who doesn't fit into this? Many feel victimised. Most have had close calls with tackles. Sorry mate but you have just described almost everyone
