As we're safe I'd really like to see Forren, Ward Prowse and Puncheon start last game would be good as we haven't seen Forren yet and after Punch and Prowsy saved us against Sunderland they deserve a chance

Puncheon really should be 1st 11 anyway, why he does not get picked regularly is beyond my understanding.

Pochettino said after having his (third?) son he wasn't in the right place mentally. Although Puncheon's interview after the game didn't really seem to confirm that.

Just a thought, but has anyone thought about signing Jordi Gomez from Wigan if they go down? Thought he played well against City in the cup final and would be a decent playmaker in the squad. Just a thought mind

Personally, I'd like Maloney. Good player and great set piece taker

Someone wrote this in response to a skate's typically gleeful, brainless and deluded attack regarding the nonsense rumour about Cortese considering his future. I had to put it on here because it cracked me up.

(PTID1898 wrote - ha ha the wheels are coming off!)

Its almost sad the way you, PTID1898, and your ilk come on here scrabbling around for crumbs of bad news as you come to terms with the fact your red and white rivals are in a different stratosphere. But to use your analogy regarding wheels. Our wheels are fitted to a top of the range Aston Martin, and they ain't come off sunshine. On the other hand, the wheels came off the blue Reliant Robin that is PFC a long time ago, now it is a wreck, no wheels, up on bricks, abandoned on waste ground in Fratton.

And in the darkest hour before dawn, as you toss and turn in your stinking pit, your sister snoring noisily beside you, you run the mantra over and over again. At least I own it. At least I own it. But deep down, you know the only reason you own the rotting wreck is because nobody else wants it.

At least I own, at least I own it. ha ha ha brilliant!

And relying on a saints reject to bag most of their goals. Funny thing is, you go on tv and look at the club stats etc Connoly's on there wearing a saints shirt lol

We look so much sharper in attack with Punch being in pitch. He pulls 2 defenders every time he's on ball leaving room for centre mid and strikers to get shots away.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with us looking better up front with Punch but yet again we created a hatful of chances and should have killed of the game way before they scored, which makes me think that we need to not only sort centre of defence out but urgently get some more firepower up front (can't keep relying on RL to do it ). Coyr.

Puncheon would be a real contender for player of the year if he was given the opportunity to play the games he could have. He's been our most creative player in my opinion and scored some very important goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure why he was dropped. He makes things happen for us and plays with no fear or apprehension. Player of the season for me despite not starting every match.
We need a good old 'fox in the box' who can tidy up in the 6 yard box. A Fowler type player with the reactions of a petrified gazelle and the finishing touch of Van Gogh!

Agree0 Disagree0

I read somewhere he had some personal issues? Anyone have any news on this

Clarkey saint

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasn't started every game as although he is quality in attack, he lacks in defense and so poch likes to use him as an impact sub if we need a goal! As he leaves the back for exposed especially with Clyne bombing forward! Although I believe he still needs more of a chance as he's been superb in attack this season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Puncheon and Clyne are a fantastic combination. I always look out for off-the-ball defensive duties etc, but can't see much to quibble about. Should be starting 11 all day
