Sean maloney anubody? Wigan are loing 4-1 at the point I post this, anyway i'd happily have him

I'm not so sure, honestly not sure who will want to leave Wigan cause that squad actually get on with each other quite well and bring out the best in each others playing ability. Not sure he'd be as impressive with us.

I reckon we'll be seeing Ward-Prowse, Forren and Mayuka start or at least feature on Sunday. Now that we're safe I see Poch taking the opportunity to blood some of the less used players to the EPL.

I see us going all out for a last day win to boost spirits at the end of the spirits and to try to place slightly better than we currently are.

Think it all depends on the team Stoke put out, but with Saints still having a chance to finish mid table I would expect MP to start a strong side.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe wp because he's worth a start after helping against Sunderland. But I think this is a must win so we can climb up to mid table. Forren etc will always have pre season. No need to tinker in the last game.

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted a simular thing so I agree would be good to give some other players a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be stupid to play Forren in a Premier League game when he hasn't played with the others before. We must beat Stoke, finish mid table and then look toward next season. We'll have plenty of preseason friendlies to see our new signings gel.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's surely better than Hoiveld and has been at the club long enough to be able start surely

i have to rely on stats from the web or papers as I follow saints from a distance. we seem to create loads of chances and our efforts on target always appears to be quite high. has anyone monitored the % of goals scored to chances compared to other premier teams?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's really quite simple, we have strikers who don't score as much as they should because for some reason they fall into the classic striker issue which is for no obvious reason always shooting at the Goalkeeper. Van Persie is so good for United because he shoots away from the keeper, yes it means he misses the target more often but it also means he scores more often and as he has gotten used to doing it he's gotten more accurate. Simples.

I have made the same point myself recently. Believe that the players are still coming to terms with the pace of play and thought needed in the EPL compared to other leagues. This means that the last pass is often slightly off and the chance is not clear cut. Also, believe the strikers are somewhat jaded having to cope with this pressure towards the end of the season.
Do expect a quality striker to be brought in to enable more rotation for next season and to take pressure off players having to carry all the burden. Then I think we will start to see the full expression of MPs approach.
